Was just watching it and I had to turn it off before I broke my screen. I did notice that either these morons are intentionally leaving things out testimony or outright lying.

My guess is lying.

Feinstein: "By virtue of their construction, these weapons can be held at the hip and spray fired without aiming, which is just lethal because of the increased velocity of the rifle"

Where does this "spray firing" thing come from? What a world we live in.

I've got something else that can be "spray fired" from the hip "without aiming" and if I drink enough beer it can be lethal! I'd pay $10,000 if just one our representatives would stand up and tell her to just STFU!

Does that mean the rifle will get there before the bullet does?

Disgusting. Using the emotional stories of the families to get the ban passed.

All law needs to be based on Logic not emotion.

Where are all the testimonies of people who have defended themselved from criminals with guns?

Appeals with emotion are the most effective to garner the attention of those who do not understand the situation. I've noticed that is what every uninformed anti uses when trying to discuss the issue with me. Emotion this, child that, greater good. When posed with real data or anything they just get red and angry. But think of the kids!

If I had the choice:

1) Some dude shooting at me with an AR15, 30 round magazine, and "spraying" bullets from the hip;

OR,

2) Some dude shooting at me with an AR15, 10 round magazine, weapon shouldered, taking slow, aimed shots . . . .

I'd choose the dude shooting from the hip every time. Not only will most shots miss, but the rounds that DO hit, are less likely to be lethal.

I wonder if Whinestein knows what would happen to a Marine on the rifle range caught shooting from the hip. The discipline inflicted would be EPIC! It's too bad she doesn't understand why our country's TRAINED KILLERS are taught NOT to shoot from the hip.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and why was the M16 platform changed from full-auto capability (which makes "spraying" bullets so much easier), to 3-round burst? Hmmmmmm, I wonder if Slimestein knows the answer.

"WHY CANT WE HAVE A PSA ABOUT GUN DEATHS FROM ASSAULT WEAPONS!?!"

Because its statistically infinitesimaly small. PSA would sound like this

You are 2x more likely to be killed by an assualt weapon than you are to be hit by lightning TWICE! OMG. Your more likely to be shot by an assault weapon than winning Megamillions and Super Lotto in the same week!! EEK!

Talk about a biased hearing.

That was pure emotion. Entertaining I suppose, but not very helpful for fact finding.

Is there anybody there actually anti awb? Or is this all just pro awb?

I'm listening to bluegrass banjo music right now. I keep picturing an old man with suspenders and a straw hat in a rocking chair with his shotgun at his side plucking away, and laughing at all these idiots crying to take away ' assault weapons'

Yeah they have had two so far. Hardy and a woman that was a cop and a ex-legislator from FL are calling these laws "feel good" and "ineffective".

Hardy kicked some anti keister with his testimony.

Laughing at the disinterested female staffer surfing on her Blackberry behind Mayor Nutter during his testimony.

This mayor is making the case that higher gun control = more shootings by talking about how "homicides are disproportionately higher in inner city populations".

EDIT: Okay, he just went off the deep end with that head shot thing. WTH?
