Just received my Arizona CCW in the mail, which that whole process with background checks & everything took a week & a half from start to finish to receive my actual permit.

Also finished my Solano County 8hr CCW Class/Qualification & was uploaded 4/26/19 & still waiting on the email to come pick up my CA CCW from Deputy Pinder. Hopefully I get that email soon🤞

I know itís not the same waiting times for everyone, but because I lived in 3 different states over the last 30+ years the background check can take longer waiting for those states to reply back with records. Hence my total CCW time from beginning to end took longer then normal Iím assuming.

Applied on 11/29/18
Interview on 12/04/18
Live Scan on 12/04/18
Proceed to train: 04/11/19
Submitted Training: 04/26/19
Permit Approved For Pick Up: 05/15/19

It took exactly 5 months from online application to receipt of license.

Possibly an instance in Solano County where you felt like you were possibly in fear for your life/well-being. Dave from Blueridge Consulting holds a great Application Seminar here in Vacaville. I took that seminar and it helped greatly with my good-cause statement as well as completing the application and becoming familiarized with the process.

Yea you should be good to go! Work with some of the local CCW Seminars to work on your Statement. With a CA CCW renewal but initial in Solano, its pretty straight forward. Deputy Pinder is excellent and makes the process painless.

Wow. Well that’s a new one for me. Attend a seminar to discuss how I convince SO to let me exercise my right. At least there’s a good chance I’ll get it now I suppose.

I’m guessing this isn’t something I should wing? I work construction and often have to sleep in bad areas, should I just put that down, or go to a whole seminar about it lol

Did yours expire before you got a renewed permit? Mine has and have received no response via both email addresses and phone. He must be backed up.

Itís up to you how you wanna go about it. As other posts show, BRC is good. If you want to wing it, YMMV. Good luck

Who has done a modification? Address update within the county, how long did it take? Any additional requirements?

I asked. No mods that deviate from manufacturers specifications. If you put an Apex trigger on your Glock or Shield , it has to be the same pound trigger pull. I am going for a 5000 round trigger job. If I can’t shoot well stock, then mods won’t help. 3600 rounds in , my P-01 just keeps getting better.

Hi all,

Planning to start my CCW process soon. I want to do the BRC seminar first. I just bought a Glock 43x and I was planning to put an RMR on there. Has there been any clarification from what was said above?

Cheers!

Renewal update:
Submitted 9/16/19 (today).
Just noticed I had a typo in my app, for a ticket I got last year. I put 8/28/19, but it shoulda been 8/28/18. Curses!

Then I would suggest you go practice at the range a bunch before hand. I would go at least once a week prior to class. Get familiar with ur firearm.

You can go to ASP and watch through the window at the shooting activities. Check the schedule for Blueridge and just walk to the back range. A lot of shooting goes on. It will give you a feel for what to expect. All Dave or Jay will do is run you out.

I was thinking of either going to dobbs firearm training or baptist security training for my ccw class. Anyone have any feedback on either of them? I saw they are both 5 stars on yelp

My renewal only took a couple of weeks. I did my requals thru Dave at Blueridge, sent my application in, and in about maybe 2 weeks I got a call to come in and pick up my CCW

Default ASP range closed

Does anyone have any news on what's happening with the ASP range. I went there the other day and it was closed with a sign saying the range is now closed to the public.
I'm thinking we lost another place to shoot locally. It was really bad when Twin Sisters closed and now ASP!!

That's too bad. I've been going to that site for years. It was such a convenient place for me - it was close enough that I could even go during lunch.

I remember when it was Center Mass and before that it was Shooting Gallery.
