CGSSA Reloading Club. 1st orginizational meeting. Note Venu change

OK, Here it is. This Sunday Morning meet and greet 04/21/2013 8:30 AM at Mimi's in Tustin. Near 55 fwy at 17th. Yes it was to be at Benjie's However they just called and cannot accommodate us. Not for political reasons. So now it in Mimi's.

This time and date may be inconvenient to some, we all understand. This meeting is to set up the beginning of the club and area volunteers. We are trying to get this going state wide. We need leaders, Note takers, treasurers and such.

Note if there are any tech savvy types that can make it. We would like to see if satellite meetings could be held via Skype or ??

So if you are too far to make it and would be interested in attending via Skype Please ring in.

Absolutely, If you can make this one and are from out reaching areas the plan is to organize meetings for sub groups in their own areas.

This is a great first step in the right direction. Ill be leaving for the mediterranian the following morning so ill do my best to be there. Its a stones throw from my house after all.

Kudos to BigBronco for taking the lead and making this happen. I imagine this will require a whole lot of energy, and am super glad we have dedicated members that can make it happen.

No. Because hardly anyone ever visits or posts there, unlike the main forum. This is CGSSA reloading club, not just Southern California. We need all regions to be involved.

It's in the works. Let's get through the intial meeting first. Then we can start posting specifics for each region. I have a funny feeling that the first LA area organizational meeting will be held at Crazy Otto's in Acton. And, the first LA location will be complete with a Ohler 35P and live fire testing.

Remember guys, this is a state wide project/effort.

Even if we are not able to implement the ideal channels (voice conference, streaming video, etc.) and/or you are unable to attend this initial meeting, it doesn't mean you are not going to be counted and informed about the meeting results.

Some of us have been working in this concept for a long time, at this point in time, we still have a few things to comment and fine tune, and that's the exact reason of the upcoming meeting.

I do believe we are up to a great start, we already have a very substantial initial interest from members located all over the state willing to join and help.

I really appreciate all your support and participation.

Please keep an eye on this thread for updates and interesting news.

I Just left the meeting a few minutes ago.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the fellow members who attended the meeting and made all this possible.

Just as a brief update/meeting results.

- Members from 4 different chapters have kindly volunteered and stepped in to be the initial group of coordinators for their specifics chapters and finally get the ball rolling.

I would like to encourage our members from Nor. and Cen. Cal. chapters to follow up with them and join the group.


- Interesting concepts and ideas of interactions, activities, reloading classes, group buys, loaner equipment, structural organization, goals, etc., were discussed today with a great response from the members who attended the meeting.

Once again, it was a real pleasure to spend some time quality time with members of our law abiding citizen family.

I'd like to thank Xavier and Peter for organizing this initial meeting. I think we laid out a foundation to build this club on. There were many good ideas brought to the table and we have many goals we wish to accomplish.

Chknlyps2 and I will be initially coordinating the IE chapter. My goals for the IE and the club in general is inspire member participation.

I can't stress member participation enough. This project will either thrive or die in our hands and we can't get more than we are willing to give.

Further, I'd like to thank everyone who was able to attend and look forward to chapter based meetings. I'd like to welcome other chapters to our meets and encourage suggestions.
