Default FREE .22lr

I'll do the same thing this year that I did last year. I'm offing a free brick or bulk pack (500-550 rounds depending on what I find first) of .22lr to the first child 14 or under who gets their first .22lr rifle for Christmas. The conditions are that a parent must be present at time of delivery and local pick up only. If everything works out right, I can even offer a day of shooting on private property but, that's not a guarantee. If that doesn't work out, I would prefer to meet at a local range to enjoy watching some of the ammo used but, again, that will depend on scheduling.

Nice gesture, I just gave my oldest boy this year his first rifle, Ruger 10/22 with a BSA sweet scope, he loves it. We just came back from AZ with my dad and sighted it in. I think he's hooked, he's already asking me when we can go again. I just stocked up on .22 ammo so I know someone else needs this. Great job keeping up the tradition, our kids need to keep this going for their own rights in the future

Props to CSA for doing this again. My boy is still working on the box he got from CSA last year, though he'll finish it off the next range trip I think (Single shot .22s take awhile to eat a whole box, unlike the 10/22).

Dads, definitely take him up on the offer if you can. Shooting on his property is more than half the fun.

Great offer! I already have a Rascal sitting in the safe waiting for my 7 y.o. daughter on Christmas. That said, I'd hate to take your ammo, but would love to take you up on taking her shooting on private land, if possible.

I'm hoping that whoever takes me up on it is someone who can't find any and really needs it. You guys who've already seen this and haven't taken me up on this just to get a free box of ammo show the caliber of of the members here.

12yo daughter is getting a Rossi Trifecta for xmas this year.

My 8yo daughter gets the family (4 or maybe even 5 generations in our family) Winchester 67 but not really an xmas gift so much as a 'here ya go' type gift. She is already hitting all black a 50 yards!

That's cool! Hope someone who needs it gets to enjoy it like you said.

My daughter gets a Savage 315 youth for Christmas this year. Got plenty of ammo ready to go.

Hapy Holidays!

WOW, so far no one has taken me up on this. That's good. Keep looking for .22lrs for your kid's new rifle but, if you really can't find any, please PM me and we can set something up as close to right after Christmas as possible. I'd hate for a id to get their first gun and not be able to shoot it for months because, they can't find ammo.

Great idea CSACANNONEER, you were the inspiration for the thread I started in the rimfire forum. A lot of others have jumped in and offered to help as well. If someone needs 22 ammo and is too far away to take CSACANNONEER up on his offer, check out the link in my sig. There might be someone in your area willing to help.

Thanks for leading the way CSACANNONEER. You are a wonderful human being. Merry Christmas!

Sounds like my offer has been claimed. I hope to post pictures (with parent's permission) of the recipient's first time out with his new rifle. So far, we are hoping to get together on the 28th and have a little fun. However, Hdawg's sig line has plenty more offers for anyone who really needs ammo for their kid's first rifle.

Awesome! Another lucky kid gets a 22LR rifle! I bought a 10/22 a few years ago for my son who was about 5yrs at the time. I just gave it to him this Xmass (he's 9 now) and we went shooting up in Kern. He hit every plate he could find. It was great! Thanks for your generous gesture.
P.s. we don't need ammo, I just thought this was a great idea!

That is so great to see people that don't even know anyone on here personally be so generous. I never got a chance to get into shooting before my 18th birthday last year, but I always wanted and was always into firearms. As soon as I turned 18 I purchased a Mosin Nagant, .22 and just a few days ago a Tikka T3. Wish I was eligible, especially considering how hard it is to find .22 lr ammo. Good luck to everyone else!
