Default Nordyke publicity

CRPA,

I've seen a number of times that CRPA has been footnoted in news articles as being one of the organizations behind the Nordyke case. If you do press releases about these types of things I'd love to see them copied here on Calguns. I think CGF has been very succesful doing these, it really puts out there for public consumption what they are doing and achieving. As CRPA is trying to change its image, I think you'd have similiar success.

The involvement of CRPA was in conjunction with NRA and Stephen Halbrook, a noted civil rights attorney, to provide funding for an amicus brief written by Chuck Michel, in support of the lead attorney Don Kilmer and the Nordykes as can be seen on the decision by the 9th Circuit. Beyond that I'm not clear what we have brought to the table in the Nordyke case over its 10 year life.

You will find, and it's a complaint I've had for years, is the CRPA's marketing skills are at best poor and at worst non-existent. They do a very lousy job of tooting their own horn. They have received virtually no publicity or news regarding their local litigation efforts over the past several years that was successful in rolling back various city and county gun laws. I know, I saw the action to fund the effort and the money spent and it was well into six figures. I have no idea why they take no credit for their efforts, other than they don't pump out news releases like other pro-gun organizations. It's the CRPA's loss I guess.
