I've been looking into getting something to take over cable, and looking at the Nvidia Shield. Anybody have anything great or awful to say about it before buying it? I can put all the side-loaded programs on I want, supposedly WAY better graphics (duh, it is a graphics card company) and the streaming seamlessly is about as perfect as you can get according to some individuals. Let me know your thoughts CGN

what version kodi is on it ? if it is v 16, that is old . current version is 17.4. that would have to be upgraded first, before you load anything on it. (really not that hard). but first....see what version you have.

Just updated Kodi to 17.6 last night. Is Covenant still the flavor of the month?

I still use Covenant on my Tablet, but they introduce-change the Add on names frequently,
Rebirth was a new & I think they now call it placenta. Elysium is another popular Add on,
& Bob unleashed , ...Gaia is new..
I use Durex Build, it is a package of popular Add ons that is updated frequently, but they have been in Maintenance mode for a few days...?

Yup, totally illegal, these Kodi add on apps.

Wiped it. Now, if anyone knows how to put the Direct TV app on. That would be helpful.

For the firestick, no. But you can google putlocker and itll be a website that'll play movies. Works occasionally.

I have been an old Kodi user, been using it since Exodus, Covenant used to be the top addons. However times have changed a lot since then, with so much hits on piracy filled addons, however I am still thankfully safe using different VPNs for my streaming needs suggested at https://www.kodivpn.co/
I change my VPN every six months for Kodi, just because I don't want to use old servers filled with all bull ****. Yeah so give Kodi a try, and PM me if you face any difficulty regarding Kodi.
