Wow, I though I had left this crap behind last year. Cannot believe Jason is still boning everyone like a 1980s Ron Jeremy. But I am not suprised. Hes a DB slime-ball of the first order. Rule number one on Calguns....never do business with Jason the DB.

So that being said.

Being a man of my word pdq_wizard, get in touch with me and I will give you your money back like I promised. I'm not going to F*** a fellow Calgunner the way Jason has everyone here. Me sending money to that low life piece of s*** shouldn't have to be your problem.

Jason,

Not that anyone here ever expects you to return any of the $5000+ dollars that you stole from them, this is to let you know you still owe me $230 for two Mosin Nagant rifles that you never bought over a year ago. I have not been paid back for those rifles, and you still have our money you low life dirt bag POS. A Calguns group buy is about the only place left that a thief can perform grand theft of cash and never get prosecuted for it.

I know no one here will ever see that money, but just letting the world know what a dirtbag you are is worth $230. Hopefully you will never get another penny out of any Calgunner, ever!

I'm sure some of you have his address, if nothing else, call his local police department and tell them he's taken money from you and not delivered a product. Believe it or not, that sometimes works. I used that strategy successfully myself a couple of years ago.

Please, do something. My sense of honor and fair play is assaulted every time I check the progress of this thread.
Nobody is doing anything because their is nothing to do. Jason, has no money and has no real assets that we could ever hope to be awarded that would be able to be sold to come up with any money to pay back buyers. Even if he did he would just lie in court and say that we were all "investors" in his attempt at a new business. Chances are his credit is already s**t, so dinging his credit with a judgement won't matter worth a damn. Some may be able to trip him up with the federal/postal service route, but doubt the inspector generals office will be interested in going after a sleazebag for a few thousand in mail fraud. most people sent gift Paypal payments to his wife, so hes safe in that department. (hey....it was a gift, thanks!!!) '

Honestly, there isn't anything that's going to happen to this DB. Hopefully our mistakes will help people to realize they never should ever do business with Jason....the Dana Reed of Calguns.

I was a moderator here around Y2K prior to Kes taking over the board.

I banned Reed...used a different user name (which I can't remember) but had the same writing style as, obviously, his 20 other aliases.

Thought I heard he was popped by the feds and imprisoned in Florida

Memories..

Honestly, what would it take for Kes to ban Jason from here? Hasn't he done as much damage or more to the honor of Calguns than Reed ever DID? I think stealing $5000 from Calgunners and making no real attempt to pay it back for over one year qualifies for a lifetime ban. At least everyone at Calguns would be getting something for their stolen money then. The fact that he is welcome here after all this time really sucks.....

No reason to FTF with him. It won't change anything and it will just lead to a SDSO incident. It would simply be a waste of time and resources to physically have anything to do with this guy or his family. Don't kid yourself, FTF confrontation is a over rated experience. You want to hurt this A-hole, ban him for life from Calguns before he has the opportunity to steal from anyone else.

These may be your opinions but maybe check with the rest of the group before speaking or trying to take action on behalf of the group. We all realize that refunds have been going out at an unacceptably slow pace, and you are well within your right to write yours off if you believe you will never see it... but the rest of us have nothing to lose and everything to gain by waiting to see what happens. Banning Jason will only solidify that no further refunds will be issued, which is not an action I'm willing to support at this point.

OK ... Lets quit F**king around. I'll go ahead and sue Jason and Val his wife. Everyone is so hot to sue this loser what's wasting $300 more and a few days of my life over what I have already lost dealing with his scamming ***. Hell, just getting a judgement against him will allow me to confiscate a hell of a lot more from him than the $230 he stole from me. Anyone know what SDSO charges for a deputy per hour. I'll be needing 3.

Anybody in the SD area should file and serve him/her ASAP...start here:

Can we see if the post office will press charges for mail fraud? I have the postal MO receipt and the priority mail receipt to his house proving he received his money. Is there a hotline or someone to call to move forward on this?

I can't do a small claim because I am 400 miles from San Diego and the costs involved in pursuing it would not be with what I can recover.

They will. I know someone who was investigated recently.

They have no problem turning people inside out for their assets, for this very reason. I highly doubt this guys gun safe is empty.

And to quote old Bill Handle, how much are you willing to spend to prove your right? Granted, Jason has assets. Legally proving he owns something that can be sold to pay off a debt is the hard part. About the only things with trackable info you can use are bank accounts and vehicles. When I win in court I'll have to use the judgement to get the sheriff's office to seize his car and have it sold at auction to pay the debt off. He may have guns, but you will never get a court to seize them to settle the debt.

One of he reasons why suing deadbeats sucks....

He bought a couple Mosins and HK pistols recently through gunbroker.com. My post with the links got deleted but doing a search for "theExpertish" and "aventine outfitters" shows that hes still purchasing guns.

Isn't that why he's going to Florida? For work?

Yes. That's his story and he's sticking to it.

He may have guns, but you will never get a court to seize them to settle the debt.

One of he reasons why suing deadbeats sucks....
Having the Post Office press criminal charges would be satisfaction enough for me. Perhaps a threat of incarceration would provoke him to make the proper restitution owed.

I would hate for this drama to end without actually finding out where the money went.

Jason keeps saying he didn't steal it, and his story is that costs exceeded moneys paid. I just wish we could all see an itemized invoice showing the costs he incurred.

Since that isn't going to happen, any bets on Jason's excuse when he gets back from Miami why he doesn't have the money?

No lawyers allowed in small claims.

He can still prepare the case, though. Judges like prepared litigants.
