Default .50 Seneca Air Shotgun field review

Hey all, I have had a few weeks spent with the Seneca .50 Double Shot Air Rifle. This is an awesome double Barrel PCP shotgun. I wanted to share this review because I felt it's a gun many would enjoy, a very useful hunting tool for birds, rabbits as well as larger game. Enclosed is the video I hope some may find useful and entertaining!

Yep, it's an overpriced ($900) toy.

You can buy a real shotgun for 1/3 to 1/2 the price. Or a quality used O/U for around $1K.

Not sure how you think something capable of being used for hunting is a toy? Very ignorant and disrespectful to make a comment like that. This is the "Airgun" gate!

Unfortunately, when you post things on a discussion forum, the replies that you get can go either way - good or bad. If you like it and it works for you at that price, that's great.

For me, well I've already stated my opinion.

Ignorance and a bit of arrogance, that's my opinion.

Ya if you know little or nothing about air rifles and how they have evolved makes me believe there's ignorance involved, firearm ballistic energy vs air rifle kinetic energy is something not many people know anything about , till then there will be people calling air rifles toys.
It's amazing the major gun makers like Winchester and Ruger , Hatsan are making spotless quality air rifles ,must be they know something the skeptics don't, eah !!

Chinese junk toys for kids. Get a German, English or American made air rifle. Now we are talking about a mans toy gun.

For some reason I don't think Ruger and Winchester are making air guns.

Licensing their name maybe, but not cranking up the .177 assembly line.

Did a little research on the origin of the air rifles, Ruger is made at the US Ruger gun factory , Winchester has partnered up with daisy and some are made in Turkey , I'll do more research but other gun makers are making air rifles now too ,

Sig Sauer just came out with their new ASP20 break barrel air rifle that was designed in-house.

Interesting. I didn't even know they made air shotguns. I would have been interested in a shot pattern at 15 yards or so though.

Umarex airguns in addition to many other airguns under license from various firearm brands that include Beretta, Browning, Colt, Hammerli, HK, Makarov, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, UZI, Walther and Glock. Assembled with parts made in China , Turkey and Asia.
These are all entry level air rifles for little boys to put under the Christmas tree.

The majority of these replicas are manufactured by Umarex and have simply purchased a license to use the name Ruger, Winchester etc, parts made in China and some assembled here. SigSauer is one of few that manufactures here. The higher end PCP guns are European with a few here such as American Air Arms. Some of these are and have been capable of taking large game at distances out past hundreds of yards with accuracy comparable to a conventional firearm.

Sorry son. Wins get no parts from turkey on their shotguns. Air rifles yes. Ill bet you think that dog in the video that goes after rabbits while hunting birds is cool.
