You can hear the "click" of the switch.

You could also put a camcorder in safe.

Yes you can hear the click. Also because the switch is mounted on the right side(hinge side),the left side is open just enough to see the light go off.

Great product. Installed mine with a 12v dc adaptor. Need some velcro straps to tidy up the wires and I'm done. Thanks

Bump, still working on that. Most of the motion sensor on the market is bulky, so I decide to build my own from scratch, I am also working on a magnetic switch. If anyone got a small safe, under bed safe, any weird/odd safe and want light for it, please let me know. Get me some measurement and I can built you a custom kit. Thanks.

any pics of how you guys installed the door switch? My buddy equis just bought me a set and I love how bright it is. If anyone has any ideas on how to mount the roller door switch, it would be great.

I got my set today. I asked for a kit with shorter 12" LED strips. Threw it into my smaller safe and was done in about 15 minutes. The roller switch works really well with the safe door. Great kit.

Here are some quick pics I took. Not much room to hide the wires and battery pack, but I covered up everything in wire looms and used black electrical tape so it doesn't stand out. I'll think of something to use as a cover over the battery pack later.

Pic with no lights

Pic with the 12" LED strips on the top & bottom of the safe (same shutter speed & ISO setting as above pic).

Pic of the mounted roller switch.

Great product!!! Quick shipping, easy install... Lit up my Liberty Fat Boy safe very well. If battery life is 6 months (appx) like advertised I will be extremely satisfied!!!

Excellent lights! Super bright, and they work wonderfully in my new Costco Cannon CS 20 safe. I bought the large safe kit, so I have a row of lights down each side, and one across the top. Mounted the roller pressure switch as shown below... it's clean. Definitely best lighting system for my safe.

Any info on running A/C? I'm assuming with 8 AA's, any 12v wal-wart will work, but would like to get the "ok" first. I already have power run into my safe so I'd like to take advantage of it.

Additionally, if there was a component that switched to battery power during an A/C power outage, I'd buy that.

I'd highly recommend white... it is such a clean and clear look... It's like daylight in your safe... I could see that others might like blue or green if they do not want a harsh transition at night or want a very subdued look... but I have to say, that when i see the blue light, i hear the theme from Miami Vice in the background and then my polo collar pops up...

You can definitely run A/C to it. There are specs on what to buy in the instruction papers that come with it. You simply plug it in where the battery harness would go. I highly doubt it can switch to battery in an outage unless you rig something up...

+1. I debated about the colors for a moment as well... IMO the green and blue were too green and blue. Maybe if the colors were more subtle? Sort of hard to explain... but the white looks so clean. It looks like natural daylight in there...

Looks like 12v, 500ma is the number.

And no, it will not switch power supplies without an additional component.

I like the blue color I chose, it's not "too" blue, so it makes for a nice light inside the safe.

bump...AC adapter spec, 12V 500mah would be perfect. My shipment of AC adapter should be here soon, once it is available, I will let everyone know. By the way, next gun show we will be doing is Costa Mesa, see you there!

Sorry jiggapn0y, cannot get a table at the Glendale gun show, on the waiting list.

I ordered my kit on thursday 8/11, and recieved it today. It works great, awesome product. I got the white lights and the large safe upgrade. I mounted the switch with a piece of double-sided foam tape to the jamb.

I was busy this past couple of days, I left a big box shipment to my worker on Monday and he didn't drop it off to USPS yet. I just came back from the post office to drop those off.
