Default Prado IDPA this saturday ?

Is anyone shooting IDPA at Prado? I am trying to go shoot my first IDPA there this Saturday and it seems like forecast is calling for rain
Does anyone know if they cancel it if it rains? or matches go on?
Thanks for the info.

I'm answering just so you don't feel ignored. Not sure if they cancel for rain or not. You might try calling over to Prado.

I'll be there on 2/20.

They usually shoot rain or shine... you can go to their web site and see if the match willbe held on the dates you want to go.

Yeah, I've tried the e-mail route before and did not receive a reply. Try the tele.

Have a great time! You will soon be scheduling your life around the matches!

See how you feel about that after trying to tape targets in the rain!

Shooting in the rain and mud = fun!
Taping targets in the rain = PITA.

Anyway, hope you have a great first match whenever that happens to be!

Range was flooded out a couple of weekends ago.

Don't think they opened that day

Then there is the little problem of all the previous tape falling off the target...Makes scoring difficult.

I haven't done a lot of IDPA shoots in the rain (not my favorite weather to shoot in). When it would come down so much that the tape would fall off or just not stick then alternate targets would be used like pepper poppers. Obviously not at a sanctioned match but since we were there we used what we could.

Got there early in the morning and found out the whole range was in water
At least I got to go pick up my Kimber from the 'smith. Next match is moved to 02/27 if anyone is interested.

Bummer. Their website could use some work. I like the way the Sac Valley IDPA group lays out their site so you always know when the next match occurs and if it's a Go/No-Go. A simple update like this would have saved you the trouble and like you mentioned, they can be difficult to contact via email or that web form.
