Adding a BB to make an AR CA legal
I am a fairly new FFL. A customer wants a Stag Arms model 3 with 10 round mag and has a bullet button installed shipped from out of state. Would this be CA legal? Thanks for you time.

Probably - but run through the flow charts on the blue ribbon strip at the top of the page, the rifle and the semi-auto one to be sure.
The consumer is ultimately responsible for knowing the purchase is legal in California. You might also be able to call his receiving FFL on the phone and tell him what you're sending. |

Actually, the bullet button has to be installed before you receive it OR if it is taken part, shipped in two boxes (all parts in the same box can be considered a complete firearm) such that it is no longer a semi-auto, then the bullet button can be installed in CA. A complete or stripped lower does not require a bullet button as it is not semi-auto nor center-fire.
