Good looking FSR.

Do you have a link to the $2800 rifle on Gunsinternational? The only one I can find is a Husqvarna.

I know they are around, but yours is the only other FSR that I have seen besides mine.

This isn't an FSR but sure is a nice piece. She will be here on Saturday.
I may have paid to much, but these are on my 'bucket gun list.'

Nice rifles!!!

The Swedish m/96 rifles are some of the most elegant and accurate rifles ever made. The FSR converts are especially accurate with their diopter sights.

There were many many more than 13,000 FSR type rifle converted or made in Sweden. Specifically there were 12,000 Husqvarna made m/96 rifles for the Volunteer Shooters Movement alone. These Husqvarna made rifle are somewhat scarce here in the US.

There were many many thousands of Carl Gustav converted by FSR approved gunsmiths all over Sweden using various diopter sights. Many shooters placed sterling silver personal stock discs on their rifles. They are very interesting and personalize the rifles.

This is a pic of three Husqvarna made FSR rifles. Notice they lack the stock disc found on military issue m/96 rifles. They also lack any screw holes, indication they were original stocks.

Most had different rear sighs also added, some with diopters.

Two CG made and converted FSR type target rifles with less common diopters.

Pramm sight on the left, and a Hellqvist on the right.

Gentlemen what would be the going price for such rifles? They look great, they are known for accuracy, and I'd even be willing to gear up for reloading a new caliber.

They are available at Simpsons Ltd for around $450 on up to $1,000 or so for a CG63, depending on what sights are installed and the overall condition & bore condition. I think BPLVR is being a little optimistic in thinking these are bringing $2,600 based on one for sale ad on Gunsinternational. In my experience, the genuine snipers are barely bringing that price.

Here is a decent one on Simpsons for $425: http://www.simpsonltd.com/product_in...ducts_id=21123

Here is one on Gunsinternational for $750: http://www.gunsinternational.com/Car...n_id=100502590

Here's one I picked up a few years ago from Dennis at Empire. It is a 1922 manufacture and is SA property stamped. It has Elite sights and the bolt-on pistol grip. It also has the original rear sight ladder which does not get in the way of the diopter as was stated earlier.

I picked this one up for $625, but I would have a hard time selling it.

That is a stunner, there is something sexy about a sleek bolt action with aperture sights.

I plan to reload as well. Does any surplus exist?

Here is my FSR. I'll bring my camera home tomorrow and get some better pictures. Yes, some swede got a little over zealous with the beautiful Walnut stock. And I haven't found the front sight yet as I can't bring myself to pay what they are asking for them on eBay. But it's got a GF diopter which I love.
