Default Crossroads Show - Mar 16th & 17th

So, who is going to the big show next week? Tickets are $13 per person on an Internet special at:

http://www.crossroadsgunshows.com/calendar.php

I'll be there looking for .9mm ammo.... I'm guessing most folks will swing by the Calguns booth.

I don't know if want to go to gun shows anymore. Its not the same like it was before Obama was Elected. It only got worse after being relected. I feel that there is alot of price gauging going on.

considering it - but, feel it might be a giant waste of time. The only reason i am considering going it to take some noob friends to give them a taste of what it is like.

Even if you don't buy anything at the show, it's still a good opportunity to meet some reputable vendors, check out the collectables, etc.

The last show I went to I met a good vendor that I eventually purchased a Springfield XD-9 from.

$13 for admission? Even $10 like it used to be was too much. The prices on product aren't any good at the shows anyways.

Anyone know what kind of presence C&R vendors have at this show?

That $10 goes to parking, unless you park at Kaiser or Olive Garden lol

Well, it's normally $10 to park and then another $10 for admission. It's all a rip off all the way around. The original purpose of these shows was to find good deals. It's not a good deal when you are paying 150%-300% more for items and still getting charged just for entry to get raped.

My prediction is overpriced and over crowded. Unfortunately I'll probably pass on this show until things die down.

I think it's Important to support the gun shows and the cause in general, but I agree that this one will probably be a fuster-cluck. High pricing can be expected, but it still is a good opportunity to pick up an SKS cleaning kit or led safe light kit , or maybe an item that you may not normally find locally. I'm not one for crowds though, and I expect a plethora of folks there, so if I go, it will be in and out as quick as possible....and then off to see the Jazzy Cat show....

Parking has always been separate from admission. Screw the convenience fee, just go up and pay admission at the door.

No. Parking is $10. You can park at the mall and walk over.

So I went to the show, was $10 for parking, $13 for admission per person. The ammo lines were packed of course and I paid retail for bulk Federal .9mm FMJ 115gr target/range loads. I did get a nice deal on bulk target silhouettes though.

If you're going tomorrow and looking for ammo, I suggest getting there early to avoid the long lines. The non-ammo tables didn't really have any lines, so if you're just looking for t-shirts, swag, accessories, parts, etc. then it doesn't really matter when you get there.

How are lines to get in this afternoon? I was there at 9 and turned back around after looking at a 4' wide line out the gate a 100yds. I may try again later.. Not really looking for ammo, so I hope to check out some other stuff.

Miwall line was crazy in the morning. EXPENSIVE. I was stupid to wait 4 hours befor getting helped.
Prices are + TAX at 8%...
9 - $166 for 500
40 - $175 for 500
.223 - $0.70/round
I did not see how much .45 was.
Ammo cans were about $10 for 30 cal and $15 for 50 cal. All metal - used.

Lines mellowed by 2 p.m. Plenty of ammo. Line for Miwall by 2 p.m. was down to about an hour long. No real queue to get into CalExpo.

Forgot to add.

PMAGS - $45
USGI/Metal AR mags were about $29
The 10/22 Bx? mags were $65 and regular 10/22 mags were $25
Froglube guy was there and selling 4oz containers at $12.
Jerky to your hearts content.
Tekkmats were $10 for pistol and $20 for rifle.

Super overpriced firearms. AR uppers for between $750 to $1000. 80% lowers were $200.

Hope this helps.

Got there at 9AM and got into the line which for us was halfway down the covered parking aisle. The place was so crowded you couldn't really see a whole lot. Prices on most things I saw were way more than I wanted to pay. One guy was asking $38 for a 10 round 10/22 mag. Stayed for about an hour and a half and said heck with it. 10 bucks to park as always and 14.00 dollars to get in, unless you had a discount $1 off ad. I was kinda dissapointed...

Are people disappointed they couldn't find what they were looking for at a price they liked? Given the current economic/political climate, I'm grateful we're even having gun shows unlike some other CA cities like Glendale, which are trying to ban them on city property (which violates 2A AND 1A rights):

http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/lo...197709101.html

Let your elected reps know exactly how you feel about 2A rights if you haven't already

The show was absolute crap! There were very few guns out. Just tables full of cheap knock off crap. My friends were highly disappointed because they wanted to check out a bunch of different guns, and even though I explained that it's just crappy cause of the current times and that normal shows are far better, I doubt they'd ever be interested in going again. Pretty much everything was ridiculously overpriced.

Good to hear Milwall had plenty of ammo, too bad it was so pricey. Did anyone see what they were getting for 22lr?

This show was basically for folks that couldn't find the ammo they were looking for at local shops and had to overpay to obtain it. After the show, I went down to RCGE and picked up some Hornady Critical Defense ammo at retail, but I didn't have to pay (1) parking fee (2) admission fee (3) wait in line for hours.

This will be the last Crossroads show I go to this year as I can probably call 20 shops around town and find what I'm looking for at a reasonable price and without the lines.
