Default Woot! Last place at my first rimfire match. It was awesome!

Went for the experience and to have some fun.

Thought it would be cool to run my .22LR M200 Cheytac at a match.

Next match I'll be using something lighter. It's on November 17th @ Angeles.

This was my favorite part of the match using a pickup truck.

Second favorite part of the match

Hunting for wabbits

Battlefield pickup. Pick up 5 different rimfire weapons and shoot

Rest of the match. 4 positions and some Appleseed courses

I bet my money on the 2nd and 3rd guy from the front ( in the last vid ) as the winner and runner up.

Look like a hell'a of a good time...congrats.

I forgot who placed second but 1st place had an Aschultz.

I need better glass, a lighter stock and a lot of practice.

I knew I was going to struggle with the weight.
It was just a one time thing to use this heavy chassis but managed to get through the hot day.

Don't care if you came in last, but you sure came in first in my book for having the coolest rifle! That Cheytac M200 Intervention is the baddest of all badass weapons!

my first .22 rimfire match I used my Ruger 10/22 and shot a whopping 16!!! That was 3rd from the bottom (yes two people shot worse than me).

Glad you had a good time. Rimfire matches are the best! Lots of trigger time and you don't worry so much about the cost (even with the crazy prices).

i believe next match in November, we're going to have the truck actually moving slowly in a zig zag formation while we take on the targets behind the truck

this would be a good time for those with tactical rimfires like the MP5, AR, SCAR, SIG522, MP44, UZI, P90, ZK22, Archangel, etc to get out and join us.

we only go up to 100 yards.

i hope these vids encourage beginners to go and have some fun

there wasnt much running around. you can walk or run from each station to station. but you definitely feel a good adrenaline running once when you hear that beep go off.

there were times we're i didnt complete a station because i ran out of time which is also ok.

nope. one of the guys was using an AR rimfire

its any rimfire that's allowed. bolt and semi auto

awesome. we had 9 shooters that day. the more the merrier.

these rimfire matches only happen 2-3 times a year at Angeles.

..not quite.....

Bolt or semi yes..... 22lr only. no 17's is the normal rule. It can go farther than 100. One match years ago went to 200 and 250... Few people hit those...

As you start, it's probably best to really only care about your key competitor - you at the last match.

When you can consistently beat 'you', then start to look at others' scores.

YMMV

Nice!

But next time don't run in the line of fire for the sake of camera. 22lr can kill you too! Lol! I was surprised your RO doesn't say anything.

Woah that looks like a lot of fun. I think I want to build another AR-22 after watching this stuff. Rimfire matches should be fun and relatively inexpensive.

There's a private range nearby that has benchrest .22 matches every other Thursday evening. I went out once to give it a try. I quickly realized I was not just out of my league, I was in a different sport from a different country, and I was on the IR list to top.
My rig was the trusty old Marlin 60 with a $30 Bushnell scope from Wal-Mart. Some of the rests these guys were using cost more than everything I brought to the range.
Oh well, I had fun getting beat down by a bunch of old farts.
