Default Crossroads of the West - April 13th & 14th

Who wants to setup a group event for one of those days?

Increasing our ability to buy ammo. Rather than an individual waiting by himself in line. We could work together to get as much ammo as we're willing to get. Help each other find mags, accessories, etc other group members have been looking for..

As many who went to the last show, the place was a madhouse. Long lines inside and outside. Traffic jams everywhere.

What do you folks think?

Count me in. Better to work as a group than to lone wolf in that mad house.

I'd be in to group buy some 9mm range ammo as long as the price is $0.30/round or under.

It's that bad. With the shortage of ammo. The constant threads in CGN of people looking for and complaining about ammo availiability and prices. Imagine an event where you know there will be BULK ammo being sold..

We can all be in line with our smartphones complaining on Calguns about...

1. How long the line is..
2. Too freakin' early to be in line
3. Damn it's cold out here

Then, IF, we get some ammo. All is forgotten...

All please take a look at the thread above. We will have a booth at the show, and need volunteers.

Since "noob" volunteer positions have all been filled, i'd still like to attend and support. We should arrange a group buying effort to maximize ammo and accessories purchase.

I can def use some extra rebuild kits, .45acp, 9mm and 22lr.

I've been really busy at work lately.

If folks still want to do a group buy for the gun show...

Speak up and post your ideas on this thread...

1. Which day.. Saturday or Sunday?
2. What time to meet up? (I'd say REALLY early)
3. Which calibers would you be looking to get?

I'm guessing this shouldn't be too hard. We meet up at an agreed time and location. Go to the show. Find the best deals possible as a group.

We plan to be there early Saturday (around 7.30am) to get into line and I'm mostly interested in 9mm para and .308/7.62x51.

Hopefully the 9mm is under .30 per round and .60 for 308 mostly for range and training.

Also looking for mag rebuild kits and soaking in the circus atmosphere.

I would wait in line as a group and take turns taking breaks for coffee, smoke, bathroom. That was what I use to do when PS3 came out. I'm down to meet at 730am

I'm taking my FE exam on the 13th. Might go the 14th if there's anything left. I'm mostly looking for 9mm. Hopefully under $100 for 500rds but I heard reports they were going close to $170 at the last crossroads down in SoCal.

At the last show in January, .223 reloads were about $0.60/rd. 45ACP reloads were $0.38/rd.

Hey guys, new to these shows as well - do you recommend buying a ticket online? If I'm in line by 7am, will the door tickets sell out?

If you are certain that you are going, I would buy the tickets online. The tickets don't sell out ... they will take in as many as they come!

At the last Sacramento gun show, the wait in line was 4 hours to buy ammo. People were lined up to get in at 3AM to be first in line for ammo from Miwall.

FYI guys I emailed Milwal this week and they said they'll be selling reloads at about double the normal price. I can't imangine anyone will be much cheaper, but I've been wrong in the past. I was going to go because JD is going to be there and I was hoping for a Calguns lower, and some more ammo, but I think it's still going to be a little too crazy for me.
Also- last show I was there at 6a and bought my ammo from Milwal just before noon.
Good luck out there!
