Default Beginner looking for 3 gun matches...

I used to compete as a kid with 22 LR back in the Cotati Rod and Gun Club days.
I recently found a private gun range I can join 5 min's from me, which is inspiring me to get back into some competitive shooting.

Are there any 3 Gun Matches in the NorthBay/Sac/SouthBay?

I'd like to see one first hand (been watching plenty of youtube vids) and talk to the competitors and see what they are using for guns and equipment. I'd especially like to hear what they recommend for beginners looking to get into the sport.

Cheers

I shoot at USI in Concord. It is done through Diablo Action Pistol. They have an active pistol range and hold a Multigun match every other month.

Check out the competition section. Richmond Rod and Gun Club has
a beginners multi-gun class. Most matches require some prior pistol match experience. Sac Valley NCPS, a USPSA club is having a 3 gun match on Monday Memorial Day. Come out and watch, see what competitors are using, guns and gear.

Thanks Tumbleweed and 3gunfun for the feedback.

I went out to Yolo Sportsman and talked to a local 3gun shooter and got some good feedback. He shoots 3gun and recommended before I even start 3gun I need to run some competitions in USPSA.

I like his rational to get used to the rules, running around, etc...and with 1 gun it's easier to grasp everything. Some good practical (pun intended) feedback

Time get some practice, qualified and oh and get more ammo...reloading is in my future for sure!!
