Brno Model 4LK

It would help (me) if the individual targets where a bit farther apart.

Thanks for organizing this.

Also, not sure if it's my computer but When I follow the link and open the file I get a word file of code. Am I doing something wrong? if I can I could make a target the same dimensions just need to know if the
1" ring is measured on the outside or inside of the ring?

I'll be shooting a S&W model 22A with iron sights.

you need a adobe acrobat reader (this is free) in order to see the file

but if you want to know the specs, the ring is 1" big from the outside measurement and it is 1/8" thick

white space is 3/16" thick

then you know the middle dot thickness

This looks like a blast. I'm hoping to hit the range next weekend. I think I'm going to try for Sunday at Spenceville. I'll have to try this with all three of my mosberg rifles and my high standard pistol.

I shot today with my cmp kimber at 50 meters , this is a tough target . I shot 3 targets and the best score I could manage with pistol king was a minus 37. I shoot at inland fish and game and on sundays they dont open til 9:30 , this is just about the time the wind starts to pickup . I will add a pic some time this week and want try this target again next saturday when they open at 8

Shot with my ruger 10/22 and simmons 3x-9x and my 17hmr with tasco 6x-24x.

Gusty winds to ~10mph maybe 15.

The targets look RIDICULOUS!
Shots all over.

I got a lot of MISS TARGET, but maybe 2 or 3 bullseyes lol. Very bad groupings, all over.

I`ll re-do this when there is NO wind

What 22 ammo are you guys using? I`m using the Auto Match bulk pack from wal-mart seems some still have more/less powder than others.

ummm yea, so going with scope next time.... so either my eyes are really bad (since i wear glasses) or my sights need adjustment.... or i just really suck ha
BTW: i was shooting Eley ammo Sport 40gr ammo.

IMO the targets was pretty much unseeable at the 25 meter mark. The stock ruger front sight bead is actually bigger than the 1 inch circles so it was hard to hold on target.... plus Prado does not have benches only wobbly small square stands to prop yourself on... so its more like shooting on knees in terms of stability.

EDIT: i'll be happy if someone can also give some shooting lessons with the 10/22, esp if you are near the Prado range

I know it's not the correct target but it's close

Model 22A pistol iron sights 25 yrds. The 10 ring is 1"

oops forgot it was supposed to 15yrds for a pistol. next time

Default July Rimfire Match

Ok, since last months was so hard...here's one that will go over better.

Print this target at 100% and shoot:

http://www.bghi.us/targets/target01.pdf

From 50 yds with scope
From 25 yds with open sights and red dots

Shoot 5 shots at each of the four targets.

Here's the catch:

Top 2 targets must be shot standing, unsupported, sling OK
Bottom 2 targets must be shot from a rest

Choose the best single target score from the top (standing) and the best single target from the bottom (rested) and add those 2 target scores together for the total.

Remember only add 1 standing target, and 1 rested target for the total.

Post your scores, your targets, and details for all to admire!

Enjoy!

Much better! I think I'll make the grey parts black, as I have a pretty hard time seeing both the sights and the target at 25 yards.

I am considering trying the 50 yard target with the pistol again , When i shoot this standing may i hold the gun anyway I want ? my intention is to try a modified Taco hold that is sometimes used for hunting .I will be glad if I can just keep those shots off the bench targets.

i'm guessing the scoring is based upon what the targets itself says. each ring has a # so that would be the score i'm assuming?

as for rules, it is stated in the first post.

Looks good.

I like the additional space between the targets. Hope we get a few more target posts this month.

Ok here's a target from 7/22
CZ 452 American with a Mueller scope
50 yards wind left to right @~10mph
taking the 2 targets on the right I scored:
top 10, 9, 9, 9, 9 center part ripped out on last shot
bottom 9, 7, 5
total = 67pts

Hopefully someone will post some other targets! Bueller?

Default August Rimfire Match

Ok July had 9 posts total!
I guess I suck at this!!!
So, here's my last one...unless there is more participation! I'm sure someone else could do better!

Put a metal garbage can at 10 feet and unload all the ammo you got. Post your pics!

Just kidding!

Shoot this easy target printed at 100%:

http://www.brightsights.com/target/BSI_ben_1in_12.pdf

Shoot from 25 yards with irons/red dots
Shoot from 50 yards with scope

Take 3 shots at each target. Add up you totals.

**BONUS** For each row of three targets that has all nine shots inside the three black 10 point dots ---add 10 bonus points to the total score!

30 30 30 (+10)bonus
30 30 30 (+10)bonus
30 30 30 (+10)bonus
30 30 30 (+10)bonus

Max score = 400 points

Post your targets and scores!

Have fun!

Come on Calgunners... post some targets!

I'll have mine posted tomorrow.

I got a whopping 50 points. I think I missed a target, oh well...atleast I'm leading right now.

Update: I just realized my scope mount was loose.

Default August rimfire match

OK we got the first target. Great! I think you may have gotten a little better than 50. Will dwh100 score these or ?????????????

Now how to score:

Does a hit touching the outside circle score 9 or does it need to be all the way inside on the white?

Does a hit touching the center black dot score 10 or 9?

I understand that to get the bonus points, the nine hits must be clearly all the way in the black.

If someone would clarify the scoring it would be appreciated.

I want to thank dwh100 for keeping this going. Last couple months have not been up to expectations but August is off to a good start. Its my birthday month anyway.

Thanks all and lets post some August targets. Hope to have mine on the 3rd.

Ed you can score your own targets.

If more than 50% percent of your shot is on the inside half of the line you can score a 9 point score.

Center black dot is worth 10 points, in order to score 10 points you must have your shot more than 50% inside the black. For the bonus you MUST be ALL inside the back.

Arteel, thanx for posting your target. What firearm was used? Did you use irons or scope?

Shoot and post as many redos as you want!
Enjoy!

I am going to try this as soon as I get a chance. I'm not sure if I would do better with my 22A pistol or my stock 10/22... I guess I should try both and see what happens. Keep up the monthly fun shoots!

Should this be shot offhand, prone, or does pretty much everything go?
