Thanks! Sure did! Wilson Combat Compensator, WC 2 piece guide rod, WC ultralight trigger, WC spring refresh kit, WC magwell and Novak front and rear green combat Fiber Optic sights. Also did a trigger job at 3.5 lbs. and an action job. It's such a joy to shoot, not one failure in 1500+ rounds. I use it to compete and it's my trusted go to gun for home defense. Basically I trust my life to it over any of my other guns.

Oh, and I forgot the VZ Aliens

Talking My 9mm RIA 1911 reborn...

I've always wanted a 1911 with a compensator and I've always wanted a gun purposefully built for bowling pin shooting competitions. Well, I got my wish...

I took my 9mm RIA 1911 back to Mark Bunach, The OC Gunsmith, and we put our heads together. That's what we came up with. I used a Kensight Defensive Adjustable Rear Sight (Novak cut) and a Novak .225 tall front sight. The compensator is from Wilson Combat. The OC Gunsmith did the finish job too! That's Cerakote "Armor Black" and Cerakote "Burnt Bronze". I am supremely pleased with how the gun turned out. Plus, it's a blast to shoot...literally! The compensator creates an impressive muzzle flash, and since it's just a 9mm, it is extremely easy to control and it's very accurate. Cheers, fellow RIA owners! --1911ShooterPhil

Don't be afraid to shave and smooth out the hammer. Just taking a little bit off goes a long way towards more comfortable shooting.

Just got this back from Templar Sports in Los Gatos.
Got rid of the ambi safety and had them install an Ed Brown single sided
safety. I installed the Fusion trigger and GunCrafter integral lanyard loop
MSH, extended Wilson mag catch and slide stop and bushing comp.
They Cerakoted the main portion of the pistol Tungsten Grey and everything else Armor Black. Grips are my first attempt. Pins set into G10.
What say the masses?
Ryan

Very cool. Did you have to do a lot of work to get the Novaks to fit the dovetails?

1911 RIA Tactical

Just got her out of jail yesterday. Did a full take down, polished the trigger and hammer and swapped out the grips. Now she has character.
