Default Duty Holster for STI Staccato P

Does anyone know if any Safariland duty holsters would fit a STI Staccatto P with a Surefire X300 light? Their website doesnít show anything that fits this gun and their email response time is horrible. I figured since a couple of the big So Cal agencies recently authorized this gun for duty use, someone on here might know.

It fits the ones that are made for Kimber and Springfield Armory, 5340-6280 or 6285. I have one and it fits just fine. I do have to take the dremel to it and shave off just a bit where the magazine release sits, I don't want it to bump on it and eject the mag while 10-8. There's an ALS version which I used when I took our 2 day 1911 course, did not care for it. I was missing draws and first shots. With the ALS theres just too much to it, you have to disengage the ALS, clear the holster while simultaneously taking the thumb safety off, then make sure your grip safety is disengaged to break the first shot. YMMV. Good luck.

i was recently told by range staff that the safariland springfield trp holster fits the sti with very minor dremel work but might be loose fitting if using the old x300. the newer x300 models will make it fit without the gun rattling around.

at the recent expo thing at lapd academy sti staff said the safariland made for m&p’s work well too for 2011s.

kind of stupid large agencies like lapd and lasd hv approved the weapon and safariland doesnt make a duty holster for 2011s.

That is always the issue, new guns come out and the holster makers need to tool up and make holsters for them...right now it is the 365XL, most holsters are closed ended, so you need to cut them open or wait.

None of my old 1911 holsters fit the 5-in 2011. I ended up getting a Long's Shadow and Ghost as off-duty holsters. The G17 open top magazine pouch fits the 2011 mags.

Being left handed, Safariland practically never has the holsters I am looking for in stock. However, they do make holsters to order, and it usually doesn't take longer than a couple weeks. I have done that more than once and the holsters are always perfectly fitted when I receive them.

It is worth mentioning that a slightly smaller pistol might fit decently in a slightly larger holster. But it will make noise back and forth, could inadvertently activate your light, and could create a gap large enough to wedge a finger or object in there and discharge it.

The wrong holster can also release the magazine unintentionally and modifying duty holsters can be a liability nightmare and isnít recommended. Look at Safariland fit codes 5340 and 5621... they should work.

According to the LE rep from STI, Safariland is close to releasing a holster specifically for the staccato P. Been in development for a while.

Until they release a STI specific one, here is an option:

RDS if red dot:

Level 3 ALS/SLS : 6360(RDS)-8192
Level 1 ALS: 6390(RDS)-8192

They have been running 8+ weeks lately.
