Here it is... the link for the Sacramento Groupon Project Appleseed tickets!!
Adult ticket $40
Youth is $14

https://www.groupon.com/deals/project-appleseed-152

YOU MUST BRING THE TICKET TO THE EVENT YOU ARE ATTENDING OR YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FULL PRICE. We have to redeem the coupon the day of the event.

Please note that range fees are not included in the ticket. Range fees go directly to the range the event is held at and are set by the range.

This can be used at any Project Appleseed anywhere. You do still have to sign up for the event. Purchase of the ticket doesn't automatically sign you up for an event.

The tickets are available on groupon in different areas, LA and San Francisco are the two other areas in CA that have it. I don't have those links. It really doesn't matter what groupon link you buy them through, they still work.
Thank you and hope to see you on the line!!

We usually begin check in at 8am. We are done shooting for the day at 4:30. Usually done and off the range by 530.

If you need to leave sooner just let us know and we'll work with you.

Norcal22Gal,

I am thinking about going to the Oct or Nov event. I read through the information on the website.

Just like to clarify one quick question, in the event, we will shoot 25 yard only, right? that is why a .22lr is a good choice. I have a savage Mark II. About to bring a backup rifle, I am thinking about either a AR-15(223) or a remington 700(308), which one you recommend?

Many thanks

nidm

We shoot at 25 yds, because it's quicker than walking back and forth to the 100, 200, 300 or 400 yd targets and it lets us have events at more ranges. The .22 is a good choice partly because ammo is a bit cheaper. Back up rifles are a good thing, and either one of your choices is acceptable. Realize we do shoot approx 500 rounds per weekend so make sure you have enough ammo. Some people like to bring the centerfire out on Sunday after they have a good grasp of things.

Looking forward to seeing you on the line!

PS Sac Oct has 11 tickets left....Nov has 24.

Oct looks to be a beautiful weekend. Temps in the upper 70's. And yes, we do tend to keep going despite the weather.

Dressing appropriately for the weather is important all year long.

Hope to see some of you out on the line!

I am unfamiliar with firearms used/needed/recommended in such an event.

What is recommended for youth shooters in the 22lr ? or is it all 22lr Idk.

Thanks.

from what I read, .22lr will be the most efficient/cheap one for this camp, though almost all legal ones are acceptable.

You do need a sling, which I am still working on it....

Yes, .22LR is the least expensive way to go. But if you want to shoot any CA legal rifle at an appleseed you are more than welcome. Be prepared to have approx 500 rounds for the weekend.....

We can loan you a sling nidm.

So as of right now, Grandson has a single shot 22lr, he's shoots dead nuts with this one, & fairly fast.

Second rifle is a 1022 BD, they both have scopes, are these ok the way they are, or ?

Either will work. Bring both. It's always good to have a back up. I have seen people use the single shot, and do fairly well. It takes some work to get all the rounds off in time, but it can be done.

Hope to see you out soon.

How soon will the schedule come out for next year? I'd love to attend one, but all of the 2017 ones fell on dates I couldn't make!

I am waiting to finalize a couple dates. The dates for Sacramento, Red Bluff and Hat Creek should be up by the end of the year or just after the first of the year. First shoot will be in March in Sacramento.

I will post them as soon as they are available!
