Red face Got my 4th .223 ammo can filled up today...

Well, I just finished filling up my 4th ammo can. They are the big plastic ones that Cabelas sends you when you buy ammo from them. Back in the days before I bought my reloading gear, I used to order one brick of cheap .22lr ammo from them about once a week and I would get the ammo can (a $16.99 ammo can) for free since they would send the .22lr brick in it I have been able to fit 3k .223 rounds on each of them, so now I am up to 12k .223 rounds and I am running low on Powder, just placed an order for more powder last week. So far is costing me about $165 per 1k rounds of .223 with the below ingredients.

55gr FMJBT Hornady bullets
25gr of Varget Powder
CCI 1000 small rifle primers
LC once fire brass

I have already shot 1200 trouble free with excellent results rounds through my AR. Now I am just stashing my reloads. LOL. Here is a pick of my latest accomplishment.

EDIT. I guess I exceeded the amount of pictures in photbucket... Will try to post pics later.

Damn Chief, so that's where all the ammo's gone!

Now I'll know where to go if I run out of ammo when the zombies attack.

Dear God Chief, you just loaded 12000 rounds with only 0.25 grains of powder in each case! Now you get to start over.

Haha, all in good fun - you know that. I might have to hit up that press of yours. I have enough components for 1k 223 rounds but with that single stage it might take me a couple weeks.

I could be a lot cheaper if I was to buy cheaper powder, but I like Varget so I will stick with it. I could also buy Wolf Primers but I ended up buying a butt load of the CCi and Winchester primers, once I get low on primers I will order the Wolf Primers.

LOL, no, I still have about 10k .223 bullets left along with 12k primers for .223. I have only reloaded 3k rounds of .308 and about 4k of .45. Still have lots of powder for my .45 reloads. Now that I got a hang of the reloading thingy, I might just sell all my wolf .223 62gr steel case ammo that I have. I still have about 8k of them suckers left.

Oh man, these are not that shiny.. The first 9k that I did, I would tumble the **** out of them until I could see my reflection on the brass, now I don't really care how shiny they are.

You obviously don't know me. I probably do more shooting than most Cal Gunners. I shoot at a minimum once a week.

So Chief, do you like to scoop up great big handfuls and let them trickle through your fingers like gold doubloons?

You are even more OCD than I am.

Looks like you are getting a handle on it now.
Do you notice when something does not feel right on the press?
Can you load with your eyes closed now because your left hand is so used to the motion of picking up a bullet and making it upright before you move it to the case?

He said he would be selling the wolf ammo.
Selling reloads you manufactured is illegal unless you have an 06 FFL.

All that work and you'll just have to hand them over to the local PD once the ammunition act is passed. I would take them to the desert and bury them. I know a really safe secret place. PM me for the exact GPS coordinates.

That would break rule #1 of reloading: Never shoot someone else's reloads.

You are even more OCD than I am.

LOL, Randall, it is not that I have OCD, it is just that I wanted it to look squared away and I can fit more like that than just throwing them in the can

Looks like you are getting a handle on it now.

Yes, now I can notice when something does not feel right

Can you load with your eyes closed now because your left hand is so used to the motion of picking up a bullet and making it upright before you move it to the case?

All you old timers and safety pukes are going to raise hell over this one, but I do reload only when I have a movie to watch, so yes Randall, I can do it without watching. I guess I have progressed to "Tactical" reloader lol.

Thank you all for the kind words and all the help that most of you provided me a few months ago when I decided to get into reloading. Randall, thank you especially for taking time of your busy schedule and giving me a one on one with your reloading machine and helping me by telling me what exactly I needed to order for my reloading needs.

No kidding, When I first made my first powder/primer purchase, I ended up spending close to $1k and I tend to buy powder as I find it for a good price. Just ordered 3 8lb jugs from (crap, can't remember the name of the company, but it was the place that had the Varget in stock last week) So yeah, I am the only one that participates on my powder group buys
