Default Learning How to Handle A Firearm With Your Opposite Hand?

I took a few of my younger cousins (14-16 y/o) to a shooting range and they brought up an interesting point about if learning to handle a gun in their non-dominant hand is necessary. Do you think it's something they should try and learn after handling guns for a longer period of time? Or is it something that shouldn't have to bother with?

Googled some articles later that night lol

I always use my weak hand a bit at every range trip.

Yes, 100% yes.

And to start now at a young age would only expedite the efficiency of this technique.

Many scenarios involve having to switch to your "support" side and make the same shot. From wounds to doorways. I vote yes, get involved with encouraging this idea.

Calling it a "weak side" is due to the lack of training on that side is all.
