Im liking the reviews so far. thank you all for keeping everyone updated on the quality and functionality of the Bushnell 1-4x24 throwdown. I ordered one this morning so I hope it gets here soon and that it is everything that every one is saying it is.

I went out to Ocotillo Wells with a friend today and really got to put some round downrange with the bushnell on top in bright daylight. The reticle was very fast to pick up and easy to use. The illumination was a little dim. I had to crank it up to 9 before I could really see it but the glass is very clear. The PCL was nice. Switching from 1x to 4x is really fast.

I really like the scope and with recommend it to anyone looking for a scope in that range. Very cost effective.

So i revieved my optic this afternoon. Its a little on the heavy side. The throwdown lever is nice. The moa clicks are very tactical and crisp i think. The glass is clear. The reticle is easy to see. But the illuminated reticle had to be turned to 11 to really see it. In sunlight the red illuminated reticle disappears and all i see is the reg black reticle( anyone else have the same experience?). I havent taken it out to the range yet but i will this weekend and report back with more of my opinion on this bushnell

Optic Planet has a cool 11% coupon so I'll be ordering one today. I only shoot up to 100 yards so 1-4 scopes will be perfect!

I too experienced illumination issues with my PCL. I could barely see it on the highest setting in the sun and it would still fade to black sometimes. I took it off and the illumination seemed to work fine but as soon as it was mounted up again the pressure around the tube made the illumination go crazy (only working on a few settings and turning on/off) And it wasn't even mounted that tight, as I tried mounting looser but the optic would spin in the rings. Another complaint was the weight, boy was that thing heavy. Also, the 1x setting was definitely not a true 1x setting. Almost a 2x setting actually imho.

I got the optic new for $227 so it was a great price and if it worked as advertised, it would def. be a great buy. Perhaps I just got a lemon or the first batch of these things had some issues. Hopefully they can get them squared away.

Just looked at one of these at turners 299$. Was testing different optics to get my dad, he's got a mak 90 sporter and he needs an optic with power for his old eyes. He tried my red dot and liked it but needs the magnification. This seems to fit the bill of under 200$ illuminated with a little power that will hold up to the recoil of the AK. Thanks for the review

I got one today. I have been waiting forever to get one. I knew about it last year...I hate waiting. I have used Calguns sooooooooo often that I figured I would contribute. I'm east coast so i have a million evil features.

Pro's:
-reticle is sooo ACOG, for NOT $1,000. Finally have a nice red dox style at 1x and a horseshoe with drops at 4x.

-throw lever. smooth and fast

-30mm tube is nice.

Cons:
I have one gripe...i have one tiny (like im talking TINY) little dot on the glass that shows while it's illuminated. above and to the left of the reticle. it's prolly gonna go back for that if it bothers me over time. Good warranty = no worries.

it's heavy, but feels well built.

I JUST mounted it tonight in a USA made GG&G throw lever mount. I decided to buy a good mount for once.

Butler creek covers are #02A Obj, and #16 Eye

OK pics....If i get out tomorrow I will get some more pics. it's freezing and snowing out.

Is it possible to mount this scope, and still have enough room to use the buis and possibly co-witness?

Sorry guys that its taken me so long to report back. Ok so far ive been able to take it out to the range three times putting 150-200 rounds down range each time.

Zeroed it at 100 yards on my first range trip with 6 rounds. Shot another 20 rounds or so and made minor adjustments to it being that it was also the first time our shooting the AR. Once everything settled in. The optic held its zero for the rest of the day. My last 20 rounds for the day i tried it out at 200 and 300 yards and went ten for ten on each.

In my opinion at 50 yards the focus was kinda blurry but at 100+ it was pretty crisp and clear and the reticle is extremely clear as well. It held zero from each range trip to the next. The turrets in my opinion are solid and has good positive feedback with each adjustment. Loved the throwlever on it.

Id say for the price of it. The 1-4 scope from bushnell is worth it. A little on the heavy side but either than that i think it works great.

Pretty sure the SWFA branded mount and the SWFA rings are made by Burris.... its just a PERP with their name on it. The Burris PERP also comes in a fixed model.

You are right tho, one is the fixed mount and the other is the QD.

Just bought the Bushnell AR/223 1-4 power scope and I will say for the price it costs there isn't a better scope to be had even at twice the price.

Mine didn't have the throw level or red dot just the 223 BDC reticle and cross hairs. So its a little cheaper than the one reviewed on page one but well worth the money still.

Took it to the range and I must say it was a blast! The turrets on the scope can be set to zero so that's a huge plus.

Bushnell did a awesome job with the scope and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a 1-4 power that they can purchase without burning a hole in the bank account.

It's not even nearly bright enough in daylight. Indoors I see a spec of red light as well, about 4 o clock of the reticle.

Anybody have the diamter for the eyepiece or occular part of the scope?? I can't seem to find it, everywhere lists the tube diameter and the objective diameter. Need to see which QD mount might work with this scope while using a Matech buis.

Received mine today from Amazon ... apparently broken. Illumination knob won't budge.

Unless there is a secret to unfreezing the knob, it's going back.

Got the replacement from Amazon, it's perfect. One change from a much earlier post: illumination is off between clicks. I like that.

I have this scope as well (just waiting for PSA to ship me my damn mount Burris Mount) but from what i can tell its pretty solid, its a tad bulky and heavy and I wish the clicks between the illumination would be better, but for this price point its a solid scope. Where else can you get FFP, with illumination, exposed turrents, and the built in throw down lever for $200??

Crappy Iphone pic to show you its size
