*** Central Coast AK Build Party April 20th***
As the title states, I will be hosting my first build party in April. I don't have a date set in stone; I want to see when people are available. The price is $50 or $40 if you bring a needed piece of equipment. Since this is my first build party, I am going to cap the builder limit at 7.
Please have your kit completely demilled before the party; there is nothing more frustrating than waiting for the drill press because someone has been trying to demill their rear trunnion for the last hour. Keep in mind that this is my first party; I don't have extra parts if you screw up. I'd recommend you bring two flats; just in case you mess one up. If there is a catastrophic failure, I will be open to refunding your money. Barrel work can be done at the party, Here is 69mach1's tutorial thread on AK building: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=292985 Let's build! Where in Central Coast are you? I'm in San Jose area, but alas, there have been no builds lately. I'd definitely consider going down if the date worked with my schedule....
I have a dremel, know you said it doesn't count but more can't hurt right? a work-bench drill press. it's old, but solid. It was my grandpa's, and he was a machinist. couldn't be all that bad.... I have 2 kits. a bulgy 74, and egyptian 47. if you're limiting to 1 kit....then I will have to decide lol....but probably the egyptian...only because I have 1 flat bent already and another flat not bent just in case something goes wrong. thanks, will keep an eye on the thread |

Awesome....I can sell it to the gf as a wine tasting vacation in paso robles!
Keep me up to date on the date. I also have a lot of misc small tools, hand drill, file, c clamps etc that could be useful. |

Great! Of course all the smaller tools are welcome. I'm sure there are some of those that haven't even considered we would need.
