SCAR 17, not a 16 (I have a 17 also but not selling, I sold one of those awhile back but have to keep at least one 17 and one 16 ), this one you linked is used or so it would appear, but does have some nice add-ons. Depends what you want. good luck.

That SCAR at IVE is still available. I guess there aren't many takers at $3500.

This is the same place that posted on Facebook a couple of months ago that they had a Smith & Wesson M&P15T for $2500. The MSRP on that rifle is only $1159!

I would STFU about buying and selling several guns for profit in a public forum, folks. But if you all would like to keep spouting on like an idiot, I'm sure the BATFE would be interested in why you don't have an FFL.

you mean the firearms that some of us owned for years and didn't use anymore/didn't really want? sounds like youre just mad some of us managed to get 2-3-4 times the retail price for used guns.

the actual definition the BATF uses for a dealer is
"a person who devotes time, attention, and labor to dealing in firearms as a regular course of trade or business with the principal objective of livelihood and profit through the repetitive purchase and resale of firearms".

we all owned guns. sandy hook happened. non gun owners freaked out and paid whatever they saw fit.

There were plenty of morons buying dozens of stripped lowers and then flipping them immediately. If that doesn't raise any flags with the BATF, then I guess nothing will. Especially in California, which is a border state with Mexico, and more than 2 Long guns on a DROS / 4473 having to be reported. (yeah, total BS, Feds f-up, and WE have to pay for it?)

I went to Gander Mountain a couple weeks ago in North Carolina and they had plenty of Scar 16 and 17's. Prices were $2700 and $3200 respectively

A lot actually..

You could have a friend buy one and then ship it to an FFL here that's able to do the CA conversion and DROS it.

Sure.. that would add a couple of hundred bucks to the price, but still WAY cheaper than the guy asking $5000 for a 16S (or 17S)..

But, people would rather trade cash for effort..

They also charge $200 for dealer transfers, otherwise not a bad range.

You can sell 5 (6?) guns a year without BATFE coming down on you for not having an FFL.

Now that really wouldn't surprise me at all. I've used their range in the past, but I doubt that I'd ever purchase anything from the store.

Congrats to the idiot panic buyers..
There are some of those idiot panic buyers in the Private Firearms Sales Forum. They are listing guns at inflated prices because they're "just trying to get back what they have invested in them". It's nobody else's fault that they paid $5K for a $2500 dollar rifle. Good luck to them trying to recoup their losses.

You guys all crack me up. Especially those of you who want a scar but can't stomach the price. Sorry that some of us planned ahead and have chosen to make available some of our excess at a price we see fit. I'm not in the business of selling guns, I prefer shooting them

If I was considering buying a SCAR for 5k I would probably just end up spending the cash on more crack...

Great idea. If I thought of selling one of my SCAR's for less than 5K I'd be smoking crack, since down the road I'm 99.9% sure I can't replace it.

Grab-A-Gun just had SCAR 17s for $2800.. lol

Riflegear had a couple in stock the other day for $3300..

http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=784449

So, I restate that someone paying $4k or $5k for one is foolish with thier money.

This thread is full of win!

"You're smoking crack."
"Nuh uh. You are."
"No, you are."
"My SCAR is more expensive than your SCAR."
"Yeah, well, I won't sell you my SCAR, so there."
"That's OK, I didn't want your stinking SCAR. I'll go buy another one."
"Fine."
"Fine."

Who cares what one decides to sell one's property for?

They own it and they can do as they please. What a bunch of cry babies.

I think people are complaining more about the "attitude" more than the price.
