http://www.umarexusa.com/
most likely just hating on it due to being an air rifle company. but have found many air rifle parts to be on par or better sometimes than 'some' aftermarket parts. no kidding at all. they have lathe & cad machines just like everyone else. i personally didn't know umarex was air rifles etc til i looked myself.

However, its not like Umarex made these guns. They are made by Walther, licensed under Colt and imported by Umarex. Umarex are just smart to import them and make some money. Last I checked, Walther was a pretty decent company.

regarding fte......
i'd say that would prove to be true with most of the ar style 22lr rifles; ie. fte. is common among most w/in first few hundred rounds etc.
many times it's due to not being loaded very well, but sometimes it's due to ftf too. anyway, has been that way with most of mine.

i also understood them to be walther made & umarex imported; as stated above

jack&blood, most likely the answer would be yes, not sure why someone else didn't jump in before myself. look at when thread was started....... has been here since 1.6.10 & fairly confident there are actually other threads before this one if you use your search function
have fun

Here are a couple of new pictures taken from the ISSC website.

All images are property of the ISSC corporation and will be removed if asked.

I'm sure they'll be at the SHOT show next week. I will check them out (since I never got my SIG 522...)

Funny they show a can on there.

There is actually a sleeve over the actual barrel and the hider threads into that, not the barrel. At least on the one I saw and it was a recently produced one.
Maybe there is an adapter or something.

If you look up the wiki article, it states that Walther was acquired by Umarex in 1993.

To my understanding of modern firearms companies, many of those old names we know and love are only shells. The actual company having been bought out or replaced by a larger corporation.

Look at Bushmaster and Remington, two large companies bought out by the mighty Cerberus Capital Management Group... Coincidentally, records shown to have been making a large amount of money an operating feeder fund for a certain very popular septuagenarian serving 150 years in prison.

*cough-cough*

apparently $110 less than listed. I think it's good, man of integrity that you're going to inform them of the mistake. But I hope Buds will be cool with it and let their mistake slide. I like Buds, if they let it slide they become my first goto place regardless if some other site is cheaper.

Looks like all the sites I saw had them for around $460 I did see one site had them for $569. They are out of stock everywhere.

listed at 529$ at lispeys & they are supposedly the main distributor for america. i doubt they have any either. @ least magazines are in stock

it was listed @ 365$ cash, but you see it said dpms, so i had no idea what i was really getting. their non cash price was another 10.35$ but no shipping charge & my ffl transfer was only 20$, so i have 395$ in it as it sit today. completely stock.

buds ate their mistake without nearly as much *****ing as i expected. as stated or speculated, that someone miscued the number when it was input into their site. the bummer is the magazine isn't feeding properly so have to wait for a new magazine from ISSC which is really wanting to be good with customer service as they're establishing themselves here in our America. They should have extras by weds. of this week; at least they're scheduled to.
My wife was so stoked that we have less than 400$ in a rifle we thought for sure would sale closer to 500$

it's not exactly like the scar, sights aren't the same, but similar & also has pistol white horizon sight too. & yeah, the butt of the rifle looks like a storm trooper boot

this was the designers inspiration cause his wife had rolled an ankle while hiking the week he designed the butt stock.

So it uses proprietary mags? This might be the thing that prevents me from getting it.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind having one of these, but I don't need another set of mags that I can't use in any of my other weapons.

their magazine look similar to s&w 15/22, so s&ws might work
my sig magz. do not fit
i would suspect blackdog magazine will make some of these magazine for the scar clone more affordable.

but yeah, it does appear to have a magazine that's weapon specific

the Sig mags and BDM/ceiner style are the same mag. If the sig mags don't work, then the BDM ones won't work. I was hoping they would use the BDM mags since I already have a bunch of those for my Sig 522 and AR in .22lr

That 110 drum in the video is pretty sick. Would be better if it were 220.

Wow what a waiting game. Still can't find any in CA yet. At least not in the Bay Area.

Wonder if they keep delaying the release and distribution of this gun to try to create a frenzy for it. Only problem with that, is some will loose interest and spend their money elsewhere. I know other states have them already. Good old CA.

Except for certain states, it's available throughout the USA.
The delay for CA, NY, NJ & HI is getting factory 10 round magazines for it. Apparently they are slow in producing them.

The ISSC MK-22 uses proprietary magazines and is not designed to be compatible with the magazines for the other .22LR rifles currently on the market.

Here's a good review with pics of the ISSC MK-22 from another forum.
From that review and other reviews online... the "pot metal" folding stock mechnism is fragile and can break very easily.

I have heard of some quality issues with it but after reading that, wow do not want now. I will hold off on my final opinion till I can see one in person but sheet did you see how many tiny pieces there are laying on that table?

My Sig takes about 5 seconds to strip and 5 seconds to reassemble.

I also keep forgetting about the beefy barrel on that thing that isn't. Heck even my SR's barrel is actually all barrel and not just a straw of a barrel with a slip on dress up tube over it. I could live with a fake supressor and even think they are kind of cool but not a fake heavy barrel.
