Outlaw Gun Safes in Anaheim?
http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/bfs/3664411821.html
Anybody ever purchased their safes? Particularly the one in the ad listed? Anything better for the money? |

For a second there, my heart stopped.
You should call and ask what the theft rating is and if it's UL fire rated.

I was looking at the same safe. I've been to their shop and was able to take a look at them personally. they're Winchester safes. not sure what model, but the sticker with the serial number on the side of the door said RANGER. Ã* don't think they're the RANGER models though since the bolts for the doors are different.

Look at Sturdy safes. I just pulled the trigger on one after doing about two month of research. Most of the safes out there in the sub $2k range are 12 gauge steel with Sheetrock for fireproofing and made in china. Sturdy safes start at 7gauge, use real fireproofing material sandwiched in an extra layer of 14 gauge and are made in California! Also they use mechanical locks by default, I do not trust the reliability of electronic locks. Their safes aren't going to win awards on looks, but safesaren't meant to look pretty.
They were also real nice to talk to on the phone, you're definitely not dealing with a giant corporation with them. |
