Default My 10/22 Tacticool build updated w/ Nordic AR22 kit

Hello, I'm pretty much new here and this is my first 10/22 build. Bought it new in November as a compact model. I've tried a few stocks and ended up with the Archangel 556. Before that I had the Hogue OM and the Christie and Christie Superstock. I stuck with the Archangel kit as it feels similar in size and weight with my AR.
I am very happy with the results I've had with this rifle. It's a TACDRIVER at 50yds and quite accurate at 100yds. I built this rifle for fun and VERY fun it is!

These were shot w/ Federal Bulk Ammo and on bipod.
30 rounds shot @ 50yds

@ 100yds

I have probably around 2000 rounds through this rifle all with either Blazer/Federal/Winchester bulk ammo with ZERO Failures! Love this thing... HAHA!

Well, here's the list of goodies that I have done to it and pics to follow hope you like my tacticool build and thanks for looking!

Archangel 556 kit
CAA butt stock
16in GM fluted barrel
Volquartzen Extractor
Bill Springfield reworked trigger 2 1/2 lb pull
Custom reworked stock bolt
Magpul MBUS
Magpul AFG2
TacSol Extended Mag release
BSA Sweet 3-9x scope
Troy rail covers
Skeleton charging handle
Ruger 10rd mag epoxied onto a Faux mag

Update as of 4/9/12
Thanks for the comments guys! Since my last post here, my AR has gone through a complete makeover and Ive sold the Archangel kit and GM Barrel to my brother in law, who got an awesome deal for them! I had alot of AR parts laying around from the makeover and decided to buy the Nordic AR-22 kit. I've installed the following as the Nordic chassis accepts most if not all milspec parts:

Nordic AR-22 chassis
Factory 16in barrel w/ Archangel slip on cover
MI 9in FF Quad Rail
Milspec Buffer Tube
Magpul CTR w/ .70 Buttpad
BSA 3-9x Scope w/ PEPR mount
Bushnell TRS-25 Red Dot w/ offset mount
Magpul MOE grip
Grip Pod
Factory reworked trigger and Bolt
Troy Rail Covers

On to the pics!

Pretty much done with this build and the only thing I'm waiting on to buy is a 16in TacSol threaded barrel. Pretty happy with how she shoots even with the factory barrel. Handles real well as it feels just like my AR. This setup weighs in at 8.2lbs on my bathroom digital scale, not too bad.

Fun gun for sure!
I see you made your own mag cover to get the 5.56 caliber look.
Archangel is advertising new straight mags for 10/22s...10 rounds for CA, 25 rounds for the free states.
You can get a slip-on AR style mag cover for them.
I've had this set-up on order for over a month and have not got anything yet.

Well the Faux mag was purchased from another calgunner awhile back but thanks for the info on the straight mags! I'll definitely be on the lookout for them.

I could break it down but alot of stuff were left over parts from my AR and given to me by friends. But I can make a quick list of prices.

10/22 Compact - $220 new
Archangel kit - $75 used
GM 16in Bull Barrel - $95 new
BSA 3-9x scope - $39 new
Bill Springfield trigger rework - $57
Custom Bolt rework - $75 new
Volquartsen Extracter - $11 new
TacSol Extended Mag Release - $5 used

I believe that's everything. So estimated total is $577 as it sits now. I never would've known I spent that much on this rifle til now. Most of the stuff I bought new we're on sale from the holidays. I guess when you piece everything together it doesn't hurt the wallet that bad...

Nice one. I see you have a bus. Why not install a QD mount for the scope if you want to use your bus.

Amazing. So far I've only taken her out to 100yds. But it was spot on.

Haha! Thanks, I am really enjoying this 10/22! Probably ran around close to 8000 rounds through it with maybe 5-8 failures. Very reliable gun!

I've been debating about my 10/22 build as well and it's between the Archangel 556 vs the Nordic AR-22 chassis. So I'm extremely curious why you went from the Archangel to the Nordic chassis?
