They did that to me once but they are not ripping you off. You are being charged shipping for both items and then there is no shipping charge on the second item when it ships.

confusing so we called and that was their explanation. I eventually got both items so all was good.

Now if I could just get the .22 I ordered in January,

I don't bother with Midway anymore because shipping costs are stupidly expensive. Laughably so.

Their shipping is actually very reasonable. They recently lowered it even more. I ship a lot of stuff and its expensive in general. When you consider how big the box is and how heavy they can its pretty cheap. We are just spoiled by other companies that charge a few dollars to ship a large package, the reality is they eat shipping cost sometimes.

As you can see by my iTrader, I ship a lot of stuff too and I know it can be expensive. Still, every deal I've seen on Midway was killed by disproportionately high shipping costs. I really like the Midway range bag, but last time I saw it on sale, the shipping nearly doubled the cost of the item.

Brownells on the other hand gives discounts to FFL03's and their shipping costs are comparatively much lower.

Keep in mind these big retailers don't pay for shipping anywhere near retail rate. I get about a 30% discount over what you would pay at the counter and largish companies are paying half what I pay. Really big shippers pay even less than that.

Have you checked recently?

They redid their shipping prices about 2 months ago.

About 2 weeks ago I got 4 Ruger 10/22 magazines shipped for like $5.95.

Sent from my DROID RAZR HD

The last time, and I mean the LAST time I ordered from Midway I ordered 380, 9mm and .38 bullets. They came in 3 different shipments and I was charged shipping each time. Never again.

I'll likely never order ammo from Midway again either, just too much screwball BS and overpriced shipping. All my .22 lr backorders expire in a couple weeks, and I'd be surprised if I get a single round.

When Cabelas is running a free shipping deal and a sale on ammo, you can't beat that.

Mine from November was cancelled as well, I called and spoke to them about it and was told that they had every intention of filling the back orders but CCI is no longer selling Midway the case quantities of 5000. The largest they will offer is 1600. When I asked if they could back order 3 cases of 1600 to get me close to what I had on back order I was told that they could not.

This sucks but it really isn't Midway's fault. I do think they should have put the 1600's on back order for those that have been waiting so long.

last I heard, CCI still sells 100 round boxes. I certainly wouldn't have complained if they shipped me 50 of those instead of a solid 5000 round case.

Midway cancelled my Minimag 5k back order today. They were in stock and broke the big 5k boxes down to sell in 100rd packs. Midway isnt my go to gun sight anymore. Their shipping is stupid high. I can find almost anything better priced with cheaper shipping online.

And this afternoon they notified me that an item on my wish list was in stock.

I hit the link within one minute of receipt of the email, but CCI 40gr MiniMags were sold out.

I got my last remaining backorder cancelled by Midway today as well(4000rd case of American Eagle .22 lr). Oh well, I certainly don't need it.

It sucks but Midway probably had WAY more backorders than they knew they could fill. The good news is the shortage of centerfire ammo is completely over, the market is flooded and the prices are only going down. I think that .22 lr will eventually follow. My guess is in a year from now you'll be able to log online and buy a $25-30 bulk pack of of .22 anytime you want.

Yea I scored two cases of fed automatch locally for 21$ Per box (325) to tide me over... Not great but not shabby

The thing that gets me is that they sent the notification that they had the item in stock (which they didn't by the time they sent my email), and then 7 minutes later I get the email saying my backorder for the very same item is cancelled because they can't get it from the vendor. Cheesy.

After more than a year on back order, they cancelled my order for a bucket o bullets that I placed in Nov. '13. Never bothered to tell me either. I am done with them and the annoying "sale" emails they send me every other day.

Well, I don't know, but I guess Midway randomly selected back orders that they would honor because I received my case (5000) of CCI Mini Mag HP a couple of days ago.
The order was placed 12-18-2013.
I called a month or so ago about it to check status and was told that there was 31,000 cases back ordered so they were not sure if the my order would be cancelled or not.
That was the only item I had on back order with them.

Midway just cancelled my backorder on a case of Mini Mags that was placed December 2013. The reason they gave me was the manufacturer can not "fullfill it's obligation to provide stock", and not to expect any large quantity availability of CCI rimfire ammo for some time.
