They had a couple CAD generated images but no real prototype pictures when I looked. Where are the pictures on their site?

If STI grips would fit I would definitely be in. Im definitely interested but I would like to see more than just a CAD drawing before I drop the money on one

Making a frame with STI grips would be, I believe, an invitation for a lawsuit, unless Ares were to discuss this with STI...which if I were to have a crystal ball, I'd say may happen.
However, this group buy is not for an STI grip compatible paperweight.

Again for those of you who havent seen these frames yet. They are awesome. They are engraved with ares armor on them (at least the ones I saw) and these guys wouldn't put their name on a shotty product.

its one thing to have a 100% receiver that has engravings, but for an 80%, I want it unmarked.

+2. If I wante somebody else's name on it I would buy a ready firearm. Please verify if these are unmarked 80's

On the other hand I've often wondered why STI never tooled up for a single stack grip frame. |

It could be that it was just on the protos. Either way they wouldn't put their name on something cheap. The %80s traditionally are unmarked, so we'll see

I'm in for one (PM Sent), but would also like to know about what material is used for the upper. I'm good either way but don't see many specs on it's design yet.
Thanks for putting this together, I hope to be back in time before they are released. LC |

mud99, legacy23 and cali-v: I owe you an email - though I thought I had sent you one, mud99. I provided payment information by PM, and from there I update the main page as confirmed. I apologize - boys and girls, I have a full time job and a part time job, so I may be a little slower than usual.
Coming soon...

The reason they don't is because they don't want to deal with 100 or so customers with 100 or so payments and shipping - so they take a bulk payment, and they provide bulk product...hence the reason you're paying $125 as opposed to $99+99 or $250.

Okay I'm gonna sound like a total noob but I gotta ask LOL
Can I build this into a 9mm 1911 or am I limited to .45 ? From what I understand I can have all kinds of features of my choices like the type of trigger, the tail but I am not sure about the caliber. |

You will be able to build this into a 9MM if desired.
Update: All those interested so far should have received an email from me with payment arrangements and terms. Thank you!
