Default Anybody with SDPD Northeastern (PQ/Carmel Mountain) Division?

I'd like to ask a favor of anybody in SDPD who can help.

I check www.crimemapping.com pretty frequently and it looks like there seems to be a ton of burglaries that happened this past wednesday near me. It's pretty unnerving since it's supposedly a nice community and it seems unusual that there would be four on the same day (1/10/18).

If you can help, can you PM me and I can PM you the street and zip code please? I am hoping to hear it's a fat finger error and someone just boogered the website. There seems to be no mention of it on local news, and I would think that four homes on one street getting hit would be a huge deal to story-hungry newscasters. Here's to hoping it's just a glitch.

It's happening everywhere since the passage of prop 47. The skyrocketing property crime rate is old news. The very thing most people with a brain between their ears predicted would happen is happening, and getting worse in some places by the month.

Yup. Not even catch and release anymore. Itís document and apologize for the police these days.

Quick followup - I spoke to SDPD Northeastern (very nice folks btw) and they said that these look to be reports that were called in over the phone about car break ins. A-holes checking for unlocked cars or doing smash and grabs when they see valuables. They will try to schedule more patrols on our street.

Yeah I know people shouldn't leave their cars unlocked or leave valuables in their cars, but my neighbors work hard and I feel for them. Why can't we mass airdrop these criminals into North Korea and Iran ?

Boneheads around my town are always leaving their cars unlocked and then leave laptops, ipads, wallets in said car. I mean really... Lock the friggin doors and take the stuff inside your house.

Yep, raising the threshold to $950. Now stealing anything less than $950 is a slap on the wrist.
