Let's see those Nightstand Rigs...

My current setup is a GEN 4 G34, with a Surefire X300 Ultra.

yeah it does... As long as you're not looking directly into the light its easier to maintain night vision with red.... think people have gotten the same results with green as well. I prefer red. the fenix is bright enough to still give me the amount of light I am looking for without turning into a miniature sun... Without the filter the fenix is brighter than hell

Im also thinking of getting a few more. Find some good mounting spots and you can store a firearm anywhere

Mine: XD45 Tactical with a TLR-2

My wife's: Glock 34 with TLR-1 (she doesn't like the front-end weight that the TLR-2 laser adds)

I found a SP-01 Tactical about 2 weeks ago just sitting on the shelf, but I didn't have cash on me (the person that owned me money flaked) so I had to pass. But I want a decocker as well. All very nice~

I own a P220 (W. Germany) too. Are you the little Brother I never had?

The XD40 is mine, the SR9 belongs to the wife. Want a light for the SR9 but the rail is pretty far forward. Any suggestions?

Any light should work. If she has trouble reaching the switch with her trigger finger, you have a couple options. First, have her try using the thumb of her support hand (thumbs forward grip). Next would be installing a remote pressure switch on the front strap.

Not mine, but here's a couple pics I found.

How bout some pics gentlemen?

bruss01- I'm guessing since your bedside gun is a 590, you don't have kids? I used to keep a loaded handgun on top of my nightstand, but once my first child was born, I bought a GunVault. It would be pretty awesome if they made a GunVault quick access type mini-safe for shotguns & AR's.

No kids, and the gun leans up in the corner, atop the bedside table so it's out of the dogs way - cruiser ready (full mag, empty chamber) for grab-rack-bang reliability and safety. Pistols are equally unsecured, in condition one (chamber full, mag full, mag in gun) and ready to go into action with a simple trigger press. This arrangement may not suit everyone but we have analyzed and revised our policies over the years and have not had any issues with this setup - it is the best combination of readiness and safety for our situation.

Will try to post pic when possible. Maybe tonight.

Some better close-ups of the shottie:

If anyone's interested. The side-saddle is a Mesa Tactical 6- rounder and the light is a Surefire with a red flip-lens. Can't remember the light mount, I think it's a Mesa Tac too. I love that shotgun. It has shot numerous skeet doubles with me over the years, and we had a blast twice now at LMS Defense Combat Shotgun clinic (full day class). It has yet to let me down when I do my bit. It was the first gun I ever bought and it'll likely be the last gun I'll ever part with.

Mossbergs are always full of win.

Not sure if you keep your shotty leaned up against the wall like that, if so, I'd suggest some gun magnets so it would never fall over (like in an earthquake), you don't need to dent you nice shotgun if you don't need to.
