XCR .223 New member of the Family!
As usual, this purchase wasn't really planned, but I came home tonight with a new rifle! (one good or bad thing about having an open DROS!!!)
Attachment 7949 She's a Robinson Arms XCR (in .223) I love the way this gun feels, the foreguard is far more narrow than your standard AR so (at least in my hands) it's more comfortable. Plus there is no Buffer tube, so she has a folding stock (which unfortunately means she has an overly long barrel via a fake suppressor. The big selling point for me was the fact that the operating handle is on the side of the gun!! One of my least favorite things about ARs is the operating handle! Also, the bolt catch release is right at your finger tip with you hand on the trigger! If all goes as planned, I'll be at the range with her in just a few more hours! I also have a new YHM upper with a similar forward integrated gas/piston system (i.e. no buffer tube). I'm curious to see how the two compare side by side!
