Default Viewing Firearms From Business Window

We are opening a new store and have heard that there is a rule regarding viewing firearms from or through business window. What we need to know is if it is a requirement that the firearms are hidden from passing by our business door or window. If anyone has any information on this we would be very grateful as I cannot find anything on this subject. Thanks:

I recall seeing something about that and that there are restrictions, but I don't remember where and whether it was policy or law or whether it was local or state.

Maybe a local policy? I know a few LGS that have firearms visable through the windows or open doors (during business hours)

That was the key to find it:

Quote:
CA PC 26820. No handgun or imitation handgun, or placard advertising the
sale or other transfer thereof, shall be displayed in any part of the
premises where it can readily be seen from the outside.

Wow, pretty soon you won't be able to use "firearms" or "guns" in your store name.

Kemasa, thanks for the PC, but in your opinion can I depict a long gun? I see this PC are there any others that would regulate a long gun photo? I currently had a banner saying "we buy, sell, pawn firearms" with a Glock photo displayed on my store. After reading this we took it down, but want to replace it with something similar. Please share if you know anything that would prohibit me from putting a rifle up instead.

My opinion would be meaningless. There could be local laws and the CA law could be viewed in warped ways. I don't know of anything in CA which prohibits a picture of a long gun, but that does not mean much.
