Default Damascus 1911 by Dave's Metal Works

This firearm isn't mine,I just take the photos for Dave.

Here's a 1911 recently completed by Dave's Metal Works,it has a Caspian Damascus slide and Caspian Recon frame. The frame is coated in Titanium Cerakote and the small parts in Graphite Black Cerakote.
It has a Bar Sto Precision bull barrel, a Caspian Diamond Bomar sight and Damascus hammer and trigger.

Wow, great looking gun! That's the first time I've seen a rear peep sight like that. Interesting.

very nice workmanship on the pistol I like a Damascus has a variable pattern and doesn't look computer generated.
Great job on your photos really show off his work well.

Your looking at a min of $4k for something like that. This ones nicer than mine and i was near 4k. Mine took a Year to get.

At the time, a year was a long time to wait but in comaprison to my JAE 700 wait period it was relatively short lol.

The Damascus slide is $822. The raceready recon is about $380 if you can get one. Maybe another $1000 in parts. I've never even seen a Damascus trigger, hammer, extractor, or ejector. Gunsmith work, refinishing... don't even want to guess on that. Beautiful piece!

That is awesome. I would love to try those sights. Dave put Dawson FO sights in a bomar cut on my XD, as well as a barsto barrel, trigger job, and mag release. He does great work, and his prices were quite reasonable. I'll just go fondle my XD a bit and enjoy the work Dave did, as there is no way I could afford a beauty like that 1911.
