Signups for any slot besides Friday are now closed.

It's that time of year again! In preparation for one of the largest hands on gun shows in the west this signup thread is to volunteer at one of two booths that Calguns Shooting Sports Association and Calguns.net will have at the Raahauge's Shooting Sports Fair.

This year we will have a small booth outside the front gates next to the NRA and a large booth on the inside.

Dates and Times:
May 30, 2014 - Noon - 6pm - One Shift
May 31, 2014 - 10am - 6pm - Two Shifts
June 1, 2014 - 10am - 5pm - Two Shifts

No prior experience is required, just a good attitude and friendly smile!
Yes you can volunteer for multiple shift and multiple days!

Sample Responsibilities:
Both Booths:
Will be responsible to talk to the public and get them interested in Calguns.net and CGSSA and all the events we offer.
Answer questions (to the best of your ability, grab a booth mate to help or "I don't know, how about you post and ask on the forum" is always an acceptable answer!)

Front Gate:
Will be some of the first and last faces the general public will see.
Walk the entrance line handing out flyers about legislation and CGSSA & CGN.

Main booth:
Try to motivate people to stop at the table.
Hand out flyers about legislation and CGSSA & CGN as people come up to the table.
Sell CGSSA and CGN merchandise.

*Please Note: We will try to give you your preference of booths BUT volunteers WILL be moved around to fit needs as they come up!*

Details:
Please arrive 1 hour before your shift!
Dress for heat.
Bring a hat, eye and ear protection! This is a live fire event!
Bring cash to enjoy the show, during your breaks.
TShirts will be provided. Coordinators can wear green polo's if they have them
Check in near the front gate at the CGSSA booth which will be located right next to the NRA booth.

I convinced my Wife to help out as well, so you can put on May 31, 2014 - AM Shift 10am-2pm Front Gate. That way it takes care of you guys finding anymore volunteers for that shift.

No Turners / Calguns Youth 22LR Shooting Booth this year.
As far as I can tell Turners is not the main sponsor this year as its not the "Turners Sports Fair". In the past we were co-branded with them for the youth booth and ran the staffing of it. As far as I know it will not be offered or if it is, its not offered by Turners and us.

Can I please request we dress in the nice Calguns polos for this event? I was dissappointed the last one we did we didn't have them. I'll gladly pay for another one this time around. I've got the blue gun show polo but really want to donate some funds to help Calguns and get one of the old style green polos or mabye a new Coyote Brown one this time?

I'd like to volunteer for the 2pm-5pm shift on Sunday June 1st. I roped in my wife as well lol so you can put us both down for the front booth near the gate Dirte/Chaos47.

We will be driving up to the event via I-15N from San Diego the morning of June 1st and will have room in our ext. cab pickup for 1-2 more occupants, if any other members want to hitch a ride.
