Default Who makes money off a AWB ban?

I've found that most laws are written to help someone make a profit, with the gun grabbers i cant find the angle. Has anyone found the trail or knows who stands to make the most off stripping us of our rights?

If the people don't have a means to defend themselves you are free to do whatever you want to them.

gun companies for a little while if it does not immediately go into effect. Then gun companies again after people have to go out and buy compliant models/parts, then gun companies again after the ban expires or is overturned.

The gun industry has been the only industry to benefit from our current leader, though I dont have any real insight into what their angle is

Moves us toward a controlled police state. I'd say that's incentive enough for politicians. Power trumps money.

* More need for police services if the people are defenseless, so helps the police unions which funnel money back to Dem candidates
* More need for prisons to hold everyone arrested for AWB violations based on weapons they bought when legal but became illegal, often because they just don't pay attention to changing laws rather than intent on illegality. Helps the prison unions which funnel money back to Dem candidates
* Makes individual legislators appear to be "doing something" about so called gun violence, while not having to actually accomplish anything positive (actually having a positive impact on any issue is hard, while vilifying the law abiding is much easier). Increases notoriety of the legislator, stature in the party, and increases campaign donations.

Exactly, follow the money doesn't always apply when trying to understand the ulterior motives of our masters. It's about power and influence. Their proposed laws have nothing to do with curbing gun violence. It's about diminishing our ability to resist tyranny, so they can continue to destroy our country without them fearing an angry and armed population.

Yes gun companies are doing pretty well, they play on our fears of being disarmed, and our making a killing. Are they behind the proposed legislation? I don't think so.

Why else would the authoritarians we have in office want to take out guns?

I just would love the oppurtunity to ask Feinstein what the purpose of the 2nd amendment is. They know what it's for, thats why they want it gone, but they would never acknowledge it. They twist it into something it's not so they don't look like the tyrants they are.

Here is an awesome example of this type of spin by Obama himself:

“I think we recognize the traditions of gun ownership passed on from generation to generation, that hunting and shooting are part of a cherished national heritage."

We also have a cherished national heritage hunting and shooting tyrants, which is why they want the guns!!!!

^this

I don't think there really is a financial gain for the gun grabbers on this one. It is just part of their ideologies. Do far right politicians gain money from poor mothers not aborting their babies? No, the tax payer has to front the bill for those babies and more often than not their whole lives (prison). It is the same thing, other than one is a moral dilemma and the other is about power and control.

I don't think laws/bans are motivated primary by money, but I think the answer is: big gun companies will profit.

Despite the arguments from the anti's that the guns they seek to ban are new/high-tech/advanced, most are based on old, generic designs. Most small and medium sized gun companies fully copy or slightly modify freely-available patterns/specs/designs.

When regulations tighten, typically only large companies have the scale and influence to create, test and receive approval for new designs that comply with stricter and stricter laws.

I would expect to see a small number of "approved" weapon designs that are proprietary and loudly proclaim to NOT be derived from military weapons. Small guys go belly up. Competition reduced. Prices increase. Crime unaffected.

Do you have any idea how many trillions of dollars Obama has given to non-gun companies?

The only other thing people crave more than money is power. I don't think money is their driving force.

it's about power, not money... once there is power everything changes.

It's about power and control. Absolute power and control to be exact.

They all want to sit on the throne.

If you're a praying man or woman read Psalm 2 and it should all make sense.

Lawyers.

Lawyers will get paid to fight the new laws.
Lawyers will get paid to defend the new laws.
Lawyers will get paid to prove that this gun is an AW.
Lawyers will get paid to prove that this gun isn't an AW.
Lawyers will get paid to defend people accused of breaking the new laws.
Lawyers will get paid to prosecute people accused of breaking the new laws.

Lawyers will make piles of money off an AWB.
