Default NRA Decal Defaced by Anti!

So here goes...

I'm not sure when or where it happened, but it happened between Saturday night and this morning...

Some anti took a black marker to my NRA member sticker on my trucks rear window! Scribbled it out with big X's! I just noticed it this morning.

This really pisses me off! Lit my fuse! Lucky I didn't catch them in the act!, or I would have broke their arm faster than Nate Burleson can catch a pizza!

Has anyone else had a similar experience? ...and how can I get a replacement sticker?

Hey...

Maybe if I put a "Rainbow" sticker and a "Change" decal next to it they'll think I'm a crazy azz cracker and leave me alone...???

Or they'll be so confused they wont know what the F*%k to do!

LOL!

You know, I probably bear some responsibility for that as I used to put my NRA stickers on cars that have Obama/Biden stickers.

Might be able to wipe the black marker off with rubbing alcohol and a towel, but that might take off the NRA logo itself too. No real loss, since it's already been defaced.

NRA sells stickers on their site:

http://www.nrastore.com/nrastore/Products.aspx?c=2

Someone here might also simply mail you one, if they have a spare.

You DID get off pretty easy. They could've keyed your truck. If you can, catch them on camera the next time. Motion-sensitive hunting camera, in the truck, aimed right past the sticker. You should get a good mugshot...

I would not put a sticker on my car if I lived in SoCal. If a cop is bored and pulls you over might he suspect that you would have a weapon nearby? Not worth the trouble for me. I do have one on my 5th wheel though.

If you take a sharpie marker and go back over sharpie marker it reactivates.. and will wipe right off.

i refuse to put anything like that on my car or advertise it in any way. its asking for trouble just like if youre a cop you dont have a sticker saying im a cop on your personal vehicle or wear your uniform off duty. maybe im just a coward but to me seems like asking for trouble.

hell even the fire fighters i work with have had their homes robbed while at work cause they had their union sticker on their car and the thieves knew the guy would be gone for 24hrs or more.

Sorry to hear about the antis defacing your sticker. However, I'd take it as a sign to just remove the sticker altogether. The best weapon you have is the one nobody knows of. I would not advertise anything weapon related on my vehicle, home, or on my person as it is only asking for trouble. Yes you will get nods from fellow Second Amendment supporters, but you will also get a reason to be questioned about firearms at any traffic related stop and also attract attention from people who might have an interest in acquiring things related to what you are advertising (ie: your steel!).

All that said, I absolutely want to do what Vin63 said lol. Now I gotta get some NRA stickers for my granola head neighbors.

I've considered putting an NRA sticker next to an NPR sticker and seeing if people's tiny little minds explode. But I really don't want to advertise that my home might have firearms in it.

+1 on 90% rubbing alcohol

Sharpies are alcohol markers... Alcohol is the solvent....

you can also take a piece of paper towel that is about the same size as the sticker, soak that and alcohol and place it onto of the sticker... This way the alcohol will stay on a vertical surface.

Let it soak for 2-3 minutes and wipe up

the less youre enemy knows about you the better, just because you dont advertise on your car that you own firearms and support a certain belief does not make you a coward.

let them take the spotlight by acting outrageously i find it comical, but hey thats me. im a coward cause i dont rock a nra calguns and other 2nd stickers on my car, or maybe i just dont feel like letting the world know i have guns among other things.

you wouldnt advertise you keep thousands of dollars in bills in your house on your car would you?

cops dont put stickers on their personal vehicles stating theyre a cop and for what department... are they too cowards?

You would break their arm over defacing a sticker? That can be replaced for $2?

Personally, I would find a what to put a sticker around it that said "this a demonstration of a Liberal's courage."

I think the fact that someone climbed on and messed with my truck would be enough to earn someone a "Macho Man" Randy Savage elbow drop.

Yep. Sometimes people need an in depth education on the definition of the word "repercussions".

Not a huge sticker fan myself. I'm glad some guys rock 'em, gives me interesting stuff to read on the way home in traffic instead of the normal Dope and Change :bs: .

More power to ya for the guys that do though!

I DO have mt NRA Member card front and center in my wallet though and have drawn some ghastly looks from the (guessing) anti's.

how is it living in fear? because i dont want to elicit certain behaviors by displaying something that really doesn't need to be displayed to the general public in the first place?

When my brother was in college, he had a "support the troops" magnet on his car. Someone keyed the outline of the magnet, then pulled it off and scraped "F#ck You" where "Support" and "Troops" were.

This isn't surprising, especially for a leftist.
Remember the guy that went into a Family Research Council building for a mass shooting last year (stopped by a security guard)? From his own testimony, the FRC is listed as a "hate group" by the southern poverty law center because of their stance on gay marriage. Since they're listed as a "hate group" he figured it was okay to kill them. Now, granted he was suffering from a mental disorder at the time, but it's funny how his mental disorder conveniently took his political leanings into account when deciding who to kill.

Bottom line is the old saying, "Conservatives think liberals are idiots, liberals think conservatives are evil." If they think you're evil, then they don't care if they destroy your property - you're evil, why shouldn't your stuff be destroyed.

It is unacceptable for anyone to touch your stuff, regardless of what your stickers may say. Unfortunately, this sort of thing happens all the time now. We are living in an era of 30-year-old children and people who refuse to grow up. It bothers me a good deal.

Sorry this happened to you.

We're also living in an age of 50 and 60 year old children. Some of the most spoiled and tantrum prone people I've ever met have been libs over 50.

Same here. I proudly rock this one and always will:

However, even though I really REALLY like this one a lot, you'll never see it on my truck because I know it will have way too many liberal chicken-****s frothing at the mouth:

But seriously, if you don't want to put an NRA sticker on your vehicle for whatever reason, that's OK. Like somebody said once, a man's got to know his limitations.
