Umm...because THERE ARE NO two safe handgun classes.

Safe handgun classes are on the 3RD Saturday of every month.

The SAFE MULTIGUNNER CLASS is on the 2nd DSaturday of every month. (Which I am reducing to every other month).

The next multigun class is this next Saturday, June 9th. I will not be there, as I will be scouting the Sonoma area for hawgs, as the bow hunting season starts in mid August. But my awesome pardner, Gregorius Glockus, will be teaching the class for me.

Greg is totally qualified, as the doode took something like 7th place in the multigun nationals in Vegas this year. Him and me are also the only two guys that are NROI Multigun certified at the club.

If you are interested, call me. (afternoons or nights, as I work graveyard). We can get you going for this coming week, and I can answer all your questions via phone...instead of PM phone tag.

Best wishes, and hope to see you at the range!

If I get some physical help, the Polish Plate Rack may be pulled out.

What time do you need help? I'm thinking of getting some IPSC practice, check out a recent purchase & shoot the SG and carbine. What are you thinking ammo wise re the multi gun? Any need for slugs as I'm low. Also, as I remember buck shot is a no-no on bay 5, correct?

Bring as much ammo as you want.

No slugs.

Yes, buck shot is a no go on bay 5.

I will try to get there early on Saturday, as I want to build something a little more specific. Say like...umm...0730 to 0800 hours.

Keep my number on hand, just to check-up on where I am Saturday morning. 415 377.8042

Looks like I have bay 4 this Saturday..

A few strings needed to be pulled, but we got it.

If all goes according to plan, and I get the help, we will have a Polish Plate Rack and some clays in the fray. (Clays meaning throwers, or rabbits).

See y'all there...if you are qualified. (If I do not know you, expect to be approached and questioned).

I expect to be there at around 0730 hours, and this is when I will need your help...not later.

Don't forget, there will be a multigun practice this Saturday (August 4th) on bay 5.

Be there if you want to bring your game up. Not too many places that will give you this opportunity...so take advantage of it.

If I do not know you, or you do not meet the requirements, you will be turned away. So do not be surprised. (Don't expect to come in off the street and run and gun at an action range).

See y'all bright and early. I can ALWAYS use the extra help.

OK, Shooters,

This month (September) there will be no multigun practice.

It is the long Labor Day weekend, and I am also taking some time off to celebrate my Birfday with the wifey. (The big FOUR SEVEN).

The CA Shotgun Championships will be at the end of the month, so there will be a shotgun practice on the 2nd week of September. Same rules apply for the shotgun practice:

If you do not meet the requirements of shooting at the range, then you will be turned away.

And because of this shotgun practice, there will also be no INTRO TO MULTIGUNNING CLASS as well.

In closing...RICHIE3888...I believe you left something at the range the last time you were there. PM me if you want it back.

In Christ: Raymond

Yes, shooters,

there will be a multigun practice this weekend.

Take into consideration the crazy traffic through San Francisco this weekend.

See yall there.

Shooters,

there "WILL" be a multigun practice this coming Saturday, November 3rd.

We will be in bay 5.

Hopefully the RO squad on duty will not drop the ball again, and will build an action pistol bay for the pistoleros.

I will try to get there at 0800 hours Saturday morning, as I need to design the multigun practice stage in a way that will NOT need too many modifications done to it after we are done, so I can use it for the pistol match on Sunday as well.

See y'all there. The weather should be great.

***UPDATE***UPDATE***UPDATE***

There will be NO multigun practice this coming Saturday. (December 1st).

It looks like a 100% chance of rain, and I do not want to stand out in the rain all day for one or two die-hard shooters who may "possibly" show up.

Once again...first Saturday multigun practice is cancelled for December!!

See y'all at the range another time.

In Christ: Raymond

PS: I'll be at the range doing some other stuff. So swing by and say, "Chello" if you are there.

Yes, shooters,

there will be a multigun practice this coming Saturday the 5th.

If I do not know you, you will be turned away.

For those that do not meet the rerquirements to run and gun wit us...there is an "Intro to Multigunning" class on the 2nd Saturday of this month.

If you are interested in getting into the multigun sport, joining our practices, or participating in any of our multigun matches, sign-up for the class now. (CLICK HERE). These classes are NOT held on a monthly basis any longer, so sign-up for it now.

Great practice this Saturday.

We got-off to a late start (roll-over closed the freeway 20 cars in front of me), so I was almost 1 hour late. But with the help (and input) of the few die-hards, an excellent stage was built.

We beat the rain the whole multigun practice session...and the shooters are getting F-A-S-T.

If you wish to participate in future multigun practice sessions and matches, take the INTRO TO MULTIGUNNING CLASS next Saturday. I do not hold them monthly, so jump on them while you still can.

Great practice again, shooters. Kudos to all of you for helping to set-up, coming to the practice sessions, helping to clean and tear down when finished, and being good examples to other shooters aound you.

YOU are why I am here!!

Excellent practice today, and great turn-out as well!

Thanks again for the help/muscle in building the stage.

As a matter of fact, the stage was so successful, that they will be using it in tomorrows USPSA pistol match as well. (With a few tweeks here and there).

Once again...good job, shooters!!

If I only own long guns, where can I get experience showing my ability to practice and compete safely? The only other matches are practical pistol type events, as far as I know.

Default Long gun practice

Chabot range in Oakland hills also has carbine events, usually rifle only or rifle with pistol. I have been there and it is a well run match with a combination of paper and steel targets

Shooters,

the next multigun practice will be run by my pardner, Greg. (The doode is a Multigun Supreme Being).

I will be on a 4 or 5 day vacation on the 1st Saturday of March, as we will be celebrating our wedding anniversary.

For all the regular multigunners, please arrive early to give Greg a hand setting-up...and tearing down. (If need be).

If you hang around to help him set-up the pistol stage for the next day (which will be on the same bay), I will make sure you are taken care of.

For y'all that have not shot at our club, the same rules apply: You need to be qualified to shoot at our range, or you will be turned away from the multigun practice. (The next multigun intro class will be on the SECOND Saturday of March, the very next week after the practice).

Thank you, Greg!!

May the "Multigun Clan" multiply!!!!!!

Shooters,

Greg will be on bay 4 this Saturday.

If you are a multigunner, please try to arrive around 0830 to 0845 to give him a hand setting-up. The more people there are, the less each one will have to do, and the faster it will be set-up.

Keep in mind that the stage "may possibly" be converted to a pistol stage for Sunday's match...so if you stick around to give Greg a hand setting-up, I'll make sure you are taken care of. (Or he will hook you up).

Let me be clear: If you are helping to set-up the multigun stage...cool...that is your reasonable duty. We are here for YOU, so we appreciate the help (and input) in doing so.

But if you help to set-up, tear down, and then help Greg to build a stage for the next day...THEN I will hook y'all up. Going "above and beyond" is rewardable. (We reward hard work...but are not like Obama, and just give things out cuz you expect it).

Thanks, shooters.

Have a safe practice, and I will see y'all next month. Same Bat-Time, same Bat-Channel.

In Christ: Raymond

Thanks guys, I'll be there sometime between 8:30 and 9 tomorrow. I was able to setup a little today.

The practice stage will be on Bay 4 with a start box, Texas star and some poppers for shotgun, then a plate rack and dump barrel, grabbing the rifle and taking on some paper. At least that's what I'm imagining. I'll talk to you guys tomorrow and we can setup stuff to work on whatever you guys want.

-Greg

PS: After practice I will be turning the stage into a USPSA Pistol stage for the match on Sunday. Any help in the conversion would be appreciated.

Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks to everyone who helped out, both before for setup and after to turn it into the pistol stage. Practice went well and I saw a lot of improvement throughout the day from you guys.

Shooters,

it is the beginning of April, and almost time for the monthly 1st Saturday Multigun Practice.

Just letting y'all know that I have not forgotten, and I will let the weather dictate whether we will have it on Saturday, April 6th.

If it's NOT raining...we're on. But if it looks like the sky will cry, I will pass and return the following month.

More information as Saturday approaches. Stay tuned.

Great shooting today.

Morning started a bit overcast, but the day warmed-up nicely.

Had a bay full of shooters today. Great practice!

See y'all next month...and on the 2nd Saturday for the yearly range clean-up. (This is your club as well...so help to keep it maintained). Volunteering one Saturday a year is your reasonable service/ duty!

Hello, I just want to ask something. Does these multi-gun practice and competitions always include rifle/shotgun/pistol or can it be done with either rifle/pistol or shotgun/pistol? (My predicament, being the later)

Sometimes (mostly all the time) no pistol involved at all, from what I remember. FYI, Raymond usually does an excellent job of designing stages that allow one to choose to shoot rifle only or shotgun only.

O-Tay, shooters,

there will be a Multigun practice Saturday morning.

I'm not sure which bay we will be in, but I should be arriving there at approximately 0800/0830 hours.

Same rules apply. If you are not qualified to shoot...you will be excused from shooting at the practice. (Next Multigun Intro class will be on the 2nd Saturday of June. Sign up)!

See y'all bright and early.

In Christ: Raymond
