Q: Will the rack accommodate .22 pistols?
A: Yes, the hanger measures 3/16” (.1875), so a .22 and a .25 will fit as long as you remove the plastic red cap. The red cap is used for .32 or larger.

Q: I understand that the hangers for each gun are powder coated, are there any additional protective measures I can take to protect my barrel and crown?
A: We have done extensive testing and have found the powder coating to be sufficient protection for the handgun barrels. We do though understand that some folks would like additional protection and now offer a user add-on kit to apply a neoprene coating to the hangers to offer additional protection.

How flush are the grips with the shelf? If I have anything sticking past the shelf, even just a tiny bit, my safe door does not close and latch.

We sell 2 different lengths an 8” and a 11” (shelf depths). Take a look at the pics on our web site. It comes down the barrel length, but in general the will sit inside the depth of the shelf.

In general yes, they are pretty strong. We have two sizes and make them all in the US.

Not the most professional pics but it answers the question. PPQ loaded is right about 2 pounds and the 6" 1911 is just under 3. These are both the larger hanger. We sell them with standard powder coat and the red cap or also offer a version with neoprene on the hangers.
