October Inland Empire Chapter Monthly Shoot! Saturday 10/6 @ 7:30PM
Saturday 10/6 at Rancho Magnum Range @ 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM
The shoot will follow the order of "Meet, Shoot, Eat". The "eat" portion will be held at Applebees. We are going to put together a little competition at this shoot, and the winner of it will get a little prize We are also going to hold a drawing for a prize as well, so even if you can't shoot, you still have a chance to win some great Calguns swag! The meeting will be held in the lobby. This is where you will sign in. Once everyone is checked in I get the list to the range staff and you pay the range fee before entering the range. Once we are ready we will be given our lane assignments. Since all of the shooting is going to be afterhours and after the meeting, there will be NO WAIT! We will have a full two hours to shoot. Range Fee: As long as we get at least 11 people it is $20. Address to Rancho Magnum: 9049 9th St. Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730 Address to Applebees: 10709 Foothill Blvd Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730 I am going to try having a place to eat settled before hand so that we can ensure proper accomodations are made for us. Applebees worked out nicely the two times we have eaten there and has a nice rexlaed atmosphere to it. Competition: You will need 10 rounds and two mags (or speed loader) in a center fire pistol. Be prepared for multiple targets and a reload. Going to be at common self defence range, so no long shots this time. It will be timed, but you will have enough time to abide by the range's rule. Guns Allowed At range: Handguns at common handguns calibers Rifles: Rimfire + 5.56 IF you purchase their frangible ammo at the range No shotguns For anyone interested in coming out that missed the previous ones, please come on out, it is a very enjoyable time with other Calgunners. Look forward to see you all there! Please be sure to post that you are coming, any guest you are brining, and if you will be joining the competion and if you are joining us for dinner. This will allow us to make sure we have the right number of targets for the competition and lets me know that we have enough people to get our negociated rate of $20/person. Current Roster (18): SeanCasey + 1, Not Eligible for Competition, Will be going to dinner Bikr4jc + 2, Competition, Dinner ewcmr2, competition ez909 5nickles + 6 john67elco OpenYourEyes jen1338spl

Hoping to be able to join you. I've been out of town for all previous IE shoots since I've been lurking Calguns.
What is "approved ammunition" according to Ranch Magnum? Being a reloader I really prefer shooting rounds I have on the shelf rather than going to the store and buying factory ammo. |

Should be able to do the PPT at an FFL. If he is still out of state, have him send it through his FFL to your FFL. As long as it is feature compliant and not listed you are good to go.

RCF, but do you have to use their frangible ammo for your rifle, or can one bring their own ammo?
Bring kid(s)?

Have to use their ammo. Kids have to be at least 12 years old per their rules.

For those who have been attending a couple quick questions:
What are the biggest issues you have with the shoot? What would you like to see?

I am going to try and make it this time and also bring my dad who is a new shooter. He's in the market for his first pistol and is having a hard time deciding (I'm sure you all know the feeling lol) so any pointers y'all can give him and pistols he can try out would be awesome. I only have a CW9 at the moment

Ok updated roster. If I missed anyone let me know. Also, if you or your guest plans on doing the competition and I don't have you down for it let me know. The same goes for going to dinner after shooting.

It varies. I usually shoot maybe 50 rounds, others I think end up going through at least 200. Depends on your shooting and style.

He is welcome to try any guns that I bring. That's is how my BFF bought her first gun. I brought her with me to a few of the shoots and she was able to try out everyone's gun. One thing us gun owner's love is a newbie to break in. That is what we live for!!!

I may or may not come Sean. Our 13 year old English Shepard is having seizures and vet suspects brain tumor cause blood work came back fine on everything else except the white/red blood counts. I may have to put her down. This going to heartbreak the wife. I'll try I hope she pulls through and we get few more months with her but I'm doubtful.
