Default Mount recommendations for PA 4-14 scope and RPR

My range buddy is buying the Ruger Precision Rifle in 5.56 and the plan is to get this scope for it:
https://www.primaryarms.com/primary-...r-5.56-reticle

His budget is $300 for the scope and this seemed like the best option. The gun is going to be a bench rest 100-300yrds with a bipod.

What mount works well for this gun? The mounts primary arms sells are AR oriented. I'm not sure they would work well with the RPR.

If anyone has any scope suggestions in the same budget he would be open to them as well.

Get it! I've owned one for my M&P 10 and it's a decent scope. Since he is only looking to shoot up to 300 yds it's perfect as there is not much elevation change, but as long as he works up a load and perfects his dope, it's nice to have the option of longer distances. As far as mounts I had mine on a PEPR mount but any rings would work fine. Keep in mind if his RPR has a full length rail because you may need to get higher rings for clearance, 44mm objective though opens up a ton of selections.

Unlike a traditional bolt rifle where the stock comb drops down (putting your eye closer to the bore) the RPR stock is inline with he bore (like an AR).

Also as mentioned, the RPR handguard top rail in inline with the receiver which can have some clearance issues with rings that are too low.

I really like mounts by any of these guys
