Pistol class recommendation in the Bay Area?
Hope this isn't against the rules, sorry if so. Crossposting from the San Jose chapter to hopefully get more hits.
I've been shooting pistols for about a year but would now like to attend formal pistol training. What are your guys' recommendations for a good pistol class in the area that you've heard about or attended yourself? I just got back from the 10th Street range and saw that they have an "action pistol" night twice a month but on their website it states that they don't teach. Sounds like a fun night to practice with other people where drawing from the holster, quick acquisition, quick mag changes and shooting are allowed but I'd rather build good habits first and go from there. Thanks in advance |

I can't say enough good things about LMS Defense. I've been a long time student of theirs since they opened for business. They host a lot of classes throughout the bay area and northern California.
http://www.lmsdefense.com/ Another solid instructor is Todd Nielsen of Nielsen Training Associates. I've known Todd for a number of years and have trained with him before, always some great training. http://www.nielsentrainingassociates.com/ Ken Hardesty's firm is another great option. http://www.spartanconceptsandconsulting.com/ Good luck with whoever you choose, you won't be disappointed.

Took a class with TCTF last weekend, and found it to be very good. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=996212 http://www.totalcommitmentfirearmstraining.com/
