Sticky for Calguns Sacramento Area Monthly Shoot
I keep checking this Sac Chapter forum for info on Calguns Sac monthly shoots, as in when is the next "April" shoot, but can't find info. I think it would be handy to have the Monthly Shoots as a sticky, and keep the posts for 90 to 120 days active before archive, so that new Sac area Calguners can read posts from the previous couple of shoots. This would be better than have the monthly shoot scroll off the current posts front page and into obscurity.

The monthly shoots get stickied after they are planned. I have been derailed for the past few months so no planning has been going on.
If there is someone willing to run a shoot we need the help. They can be done with one person but it helps to have a few people hanging out to answer questions and spread the Calguns word to people interested in what is going on. PM me if you are interested in helping, I am thinking of doing a trap shoot in Auburn for the April festivities.

Sac Monthly Shoot is usually the last weekend of the month, either Saturday or Sunday, usually starting around 10 am. But that's not a rigid rule.
We'll announce the April date when it's resolved. Please contact Lazyme, or me, if you can help. It takes at least two people to run a medium size shoot, and three is better. The C3's are directly responsible, but need several sets of extra hands, to hand out flyers, walk the shooting lines to find and introduce people, etc.

I could have guessed that by the March Sac Monthly Shoot on Mar 2nd? Not! "grin" What about the sticky idea, then you don't have to bother with idiots like me.

Trying to decide between the Auburn Trap Club or BLM/Forest Service land. I should be a certified NRA RSO by the end of April so trying out the new knowledge in the Forest might be fun. Thoughts/comments/concerns? Do I have anybody who would like to help run this show?

Just so people know, "the last weekend" of the month is not cast in stone. It's a guideline. In February, for instance, we had a mid-month President's Day Shoot, and because Feb is a short month, we pushed the shoot out to Mar 2.
The location is not cast in stone. We plan to move around between Sac Valley, outdoors somewhere around Auburn/Lincoln, and the long-promised Yolo Sportsmens. So you can mark your calendars with pencil for the last weekend of the month. I know you all would like more advance planning, but we need more help to run them, so the C3's personal availability gets into the mix. Best advice, if you are burning up to shoot, go to the "Announce Your Personal Shoots Here" thread, say where you're shooting and see who appears. You may be surprised.

We're always looking for help. If this is something you can do, send a PM to Lazyme or BonnieB letting them know you'd like to help. It's not a lot of work if we have several people doing it. It is a lot of work if it's just one person doing the whole thing.
