Actually I just double checked and tracked it. It shipped the very next day at noon, and it is due here Thursday... so seven days to get here from TN via UPS. Free shipping and fair price, I cannot complain.

Do you mind saying when you placed your order? I'm curious if mine was placed near the same time.

Pretty much typical... if you didn't find it yourself, you probably have ten to thirty minutes to jump on a deal once it is posted assuming it was a good deal.

I wonder how OP even found that site, I had never heard of them.

Federal always works OK for plinking in my guns, so it will get shot some day. Anyway, I think my order was sometime after 10, but before 11. Tracking says it will arrive on Thursday too.

Wow... I can't believe that worked. Just ordered a brick of Thunderbolts. Added the $3 tool and it lowered my shipping price and made my overall purchase cheaper.

Thanks for the tip!

I've bought 1800 rounds of .22lr online over the past two weeks. It is definitely becoming more readily available.

You're welcome. I noticed that on non-ammo purchases, the "trick" results in free shipping for the entire order. Your mileage may vary, but that's how it worked for me.

Another trick at Midway is to get your ship weight to over 10lbs, where the ship rates go down dramatically. I usually do this by adding a 25rd box of Estate 12ga 00 Buck. It is still on sale $8.99, which itself is a heck of a deal but will knock a few more dollars off your shipping bill, so you get the buckshot for like $5 or $6 - if your order is 10.01lbs or more. It is also great ammo - pretty tight pattern almost as good as Fed flight control. You still want to add the free ship item though for the best rate...

Natchez has both Federal Eagle RN and HP in stock, 10 box limit for each, for $2.61 per box. The HP boxes are 40 rounds, RN is the typical 50 round. With shipping, comes to 7.7 cents per round for 900 rounds (1 brick of each). Not a great deal, but in case anyone is interested, at least you get two bricks for that steep shipping cost.

For sub-6 cents a round, not real bad. I saw this review online, which seemed to be accurate in his gun, but your mileage may vary:

Bought 20 boxes on the 6th and got an E-mail today saying they over sold and don't know when they will ship out.

525 rounds of Remington golden rounds for $32.99.
2 boxes with ground delivery @9.80 will result in 7.2 cents per round - not that bad.

Sorry I'm late. Got 4k for $425 delivered SoCal.
It's .106 a round but tired of chasing sales. Now I'm stocked for a while.
I live n the sticks now, so shipping might be cheaper to a more metro area.

Honestly that's not horrible. You got what you wanted, done deal. Maybe some people who spend hours and hours a week looking for deals saved $100 on that quantity. How much is your time worth, especially if you don't enjoy the hunt for cheap ammo or simply don't have the time?

Congrats on the ammo.

CCI SV $35 per brick, 10 brick limit, Palmetto. Bought 3 and shipping was $15, so $40 per brick delivered.

Seems to be loosening up a little. I've been able to find .22 from time to time, still with limits to amount that can be bought though.

Was at the Chico gun show yesterday, vendors are still gouging. I bought some CCI mini mags for just over $8/100 and there were Remington buckets for $99 at Sportsman's Warehouse last week. At the gun show they were asking $18 for the CCI, $159 for the Rem buckets.

I just laughed.
