I track and frequent Shawline and Murphy Canyon Walmarts daily. Was able to pick up ammo at both stores last restock. Send me a PM if these two are your local Wal Marts as well, I don't spreading the news when shipments are in.

Kingdom Hobbies in Spring Valley has thousands of rounds in stock in most pistol calibers and .223, 5.56. Several varieties too, from plinking to defensive and ballistic tip stuff. Even reloads.

What was the bait and switch? My own experience as well as most of the feedback I've heard on Fine Firearms was that they were somewhat pricey but also honest, so a bait and switch surprises me.

I like fine firearms a lot. They've always been helpful and have earned my business. I never buy ammo there though...

Santee Wal-Mart .45 and .40 mostly. 50 round PPU .45 for about $20, 100 round American Eagle .45 for $48.xx. No 9mm or .22LR, no 5.56
They changed the signs on the ammo case to say that you may only buy 3 boxes of .22LR per day, instead of any three boxes. Didn't get the chance to ask if they 3 box rule is done. The guy last week did tell me that sporting goods profits are dropping like crazy though.

3 box restriction only applies to .22LR ammo at most Walmarts now.

Nice, they've been way more stocked lately and were probably losing business by having that limit.

I like Fine firearms as well. They are also helpful, but agree on not getting anything else there.

Last time I got 50 rnd boxes of .22 from Fine Firearms I think it was 5.00 a box for the "cheap" stuff.

Hate paying that much but I can't find it anywhere else. They also were running a 4 box limit for the 50pks and 1 box limit if you happened to be there on a day when they had a bulk box for sale.

The Bulk box of .22 LR at walmart is like the "sanctuary" in Logans Run.

Santee Walmart had approx. 15 boxes of 50rd 45acp in white box, a couple 100rd as well. 1 box of 38, and one box of 44 mag. No 9mm, and no 22. Bunches of 5.56, and a pleasant surprise (even though I've got a couple thousand rounds already), some 150gr 30-06.
This was at about 7:05am this wonderful friday morning.

Is there a set time the ammo comes in? I need to replenish the 9mm stock...What are prices these days? Went to the range the other day and shot my oldest box of ammo I had...price sticker said $9.44 (UMC)...haha those were the days.

Edit- At WallyWorld that is.

Federal 100-pack at Walmart are usually $32.97 and they're usually on the shelf (at least every time I've checked).

Which one(s) do you go to? I usually go to Shawline and Murphy Canyon, but their availability sucks, or I have terrible timing. I think I need to go to a different Walmart.

Shawline and Murphy Canyon are the worst in my experience that I've stopped going there.

Parkway Plaza has been great in the past 6 weeks. 100% success with 9mm and .40 each time I've visited. No specific time. Just stopped by when I'm in the area.
