In the meantime, others' recommendations are good. Most pinned adjustables will work. I like the MFT Minimalist a lot -- it's a great stock, and can be rendered fixed without any extra hardware.

I am hoping this will become a tangible product. For now, got my refund and anxiously await for initial delivery until reordering.

I'm a little surprised the pre-sale price is still going on, but I just got my order in. As far as I'm concerned, he can take as long as he wants to make these things and get it right as long as I've got it before the end of year. It's not like any of us are going to install it before we have to anyway.

I ordered way back in March, still patiently waiting. ^ Where did you get the info that shipping will be in August?

I also got the email about update on the grip saying that the estimated shipping date will be mid August, and they have that same information on their website. I set two emails within a week time and haven't gotten any reply yet. I am starting to worry....

Delays and changes to plan are no problem, considering all the challenges associated with getting any new product developed & biz launched. But zero updates and lack of communications with early customers for last 2 mo leading up to their targeted ship date - is definitely not acceptable. If they want to avoid being relegated to the joker bin, they should really take 10 min to provide a status update on their web page and here.

No update yet after several email to Will at resurgent arm. I am opening case with PayPal before the expiration of purchase protection period.

Alright it's halfway through August and no update. I preordered the day it opened and stayed faithful all this time. I'm done checking threads and his YouTube for updates. Time to get a refund. Hopefully he is able to do that.

When does the protection period expire, how many days from when payment was made?

I just went and checked and it looks like you have 180 days to file a claim.

I paid for my grip on 03/24 and it said I have until 09/24 to file. The last update said "late August" to ship. I sent Will and email on Wednesday asking for an update. If there is no response and no update by 08/31, I will file for a refund.

Will needs to get on here quick with an explanation or he's going to have a ton of cancelations...... add to that, I'm sure someone else will end up copying his design and people will buy elsewhere

I saw this Grip a while back. Looks similar to Wills Grip. A little cheaper too. Good alternative since we are not getting ours

Only reason I went with Resurgent is because it is supposed to have a storage compartment, this one does not, I asked them if it would have one and they said no.

Just curious, has anyone received any response from Will? For me, none...

I'll give him a bit longer just in case there could be some extenuating circumstances. If still crickets by Sept 1, then I'll open fraud case with my CC company & file complaint with BBB.

Meantime, just ordered the Liberal...

Default Design Update: Resurgent Arms Featureless Rifle Grip

But yeah no response from him yet. I'll contact my bank Monday if I don't hear back. Messaged him here and replied back to the original confirmation email I got from him.

of course he's just a solo startup, but Resurgent Arms is registered as a CA LLC, so if he does end up flaking out on us, then in theory BBB complaints on file for that biz entity could be helpful to prevent more BS. But yeah, probably not worth the time to fill out the BBB web form...

I don't know a lot about starting a business, but I'm wondering if he registered as an LLC so he could keep the money and then not be personally financially responsible for all the claims. His throw away LLC would be responsible.

I believe it is 180 days. If you log in to your paypal account and select the resurgent arms transaction it will tell you what your last day will is to file a dispute.

Got an email blast today:

Hi Jeff,

Major progress to report!

As of last week, production of the tooling (the block of steel the plastic is injected into) has commenced.

The manufacturer commitment of samples is due in mid-September.

At that point, there are two possibilities:
Approve samples and go into production.
Or take the final opportunity to fix any issues.
Final product shipment is still TBD, but we’re still cranking. In gratitude for your continued patience, I’ll have something cool for you in the next couple days.

Hope you’re enjoying the summer!
-Will

I am not going to wait until the mid-September cause by then my PayPal protection period will expires. I still want my refund for now and might order later when the product is available to shop.

Maybe that was the plan all along ... Terrible thought but you never know. I haven't received any messages from him yet. I disputed the charge today so hopefully I get something out of it.

I got the same email blast as gunsnrovers. Guess I have no choice but to wait and hope he sends it out. I paid with my cc and I think disputes are only good for 60 days.

Prototyping and production are very different things.
Injection molding is an expensive and time-consuming process to get right.
As someone who knows a bit about what the design - production struggle is like I can relate and I'm happy to wait for the product.
