The pursuit of perfection: Strayer Voigt Inc. Infinity Firearms

Strayer Voigt Inc. needs no introduction. This company exists to provide the very best guns. There is no model name/number. Every gun that comes out of SVI is custom ordered by the customer: every detail, including barrel length, type of sights, materials, etc. are specified by the customer.

Below are my 2 latest acquisitions:

Single Stack, Officer’s Frame, Slide features the unique sight system: 2 tritium dots in the rear and 2 tritium dots in the front. This sight system makes the sight to be closest to the barrel as it can get. Similar gun was used by Colin Farrell in Miami Vice (2006):

Double Stack. Went all out on this one. I lost count on how many times I modified the build. Special thanks to Brandon for his patience and hard work on this gun. This gun features 3 different top ends chambered in 3 different calibers.

Top end chambered in 9x19mm:

Top end chambered in .45 ACP. This is similar to the gun used in Heroes, the TV series:

Can you post a picture of the sight picture for the first gun? I'm trying imagine how it looks. Is it fast to set up when you present the gun?

Thanks for the kinds words.

As requested, more picture of the Single Stack. This sight system is called “Tiki”. You can order it in single or double stack, officer’s or commander’s size. You can also choose what materials you want for the frame and the slide: carbon steel, stainless steel, or titanium.

I tried my best to align the sights, however, it's hard to align it with a camera on a tripod. Also, the camera perspective in 100mm is very different than human eyes (whose perspective are in the 35-40mm range).

You'll need some time to adopt to this sight system because it's way different than the traditional sights. But when you do, it will be fast. You just align all 4 dots and there it is.

I just went through guns to see if I like them. I’m just sick and tired of listening to others (especially “the guy behind the counter”) saying what’s good and not. Some do not know what they’re talking about, and some, with limited experience of 1-2 firearms, speak shamelessly about what they know. I buy as many guns as I can, tried them, then decide if they’re worthy to be kept. Good thing this hobby is not as costly as cars. I can easily have more than a few at once, in addition, changing a set of grips does not cost as crazy as changing a set of rims. And it’s not as costly as sound systems either. I was a sound engineer in a Christian church for more than 10 years. I know how much a good set of speakers can cost, as well as those special “cables”, using gold or mercury.

Almost all the guns I've acquired would be shot. There were a few that I sold before I shot them. The main reason of that has been that I just didn't have the time and I've shot the same model (or similar model before) and I had to sell the gun to quickly fund a rare find.

As for SVI, I will not order one if I do not intend to shoot it. Infinity guns are dominating the competitions. By handling these, I already know why: The fit and finish are superb, the action is smooth and fast, and the materials they use are top of the line. After getting them, I've sold all my semi custom 1911's.
