Default Is this a real or fake ? Trijicon red dot for $34.

Found on Ebay, Trjicon red dot for 34 bucks, yes it's 34 bucks. Is this a real one or fake one ? brand new and free ship.

I think itís pretty clear that itís fake. Under the description when u look at brand it clearly says ďUnbranded.Ē In addition it also says that itís red dot ďstyleĒ RMR. The price alone speaks volumes. Pictures may look real but clearly itís fake.

Definitely fake. You get what you pay for.
If you want a cheap red dot, look at a Bushnell TRS, Holosun, or Primary Arms.

Thanks for the replies, I just want to verify that is a FAKE one. The picture show: Made in USA, Trijicon brand.

The damn Dem. in CA DOJ should go after those people selling the fake stuffs instead of enforce the unconstitutional CA Roster.

I'm guessing here, but these reasons:

It's from the US, the seller has over 152,000 ratings, and eBay's policy states that counterfeit items bearing the name and logo are not allowed, and this item clearly bears the Trijicon name and logo.

A seller with that much business on there should really want to stay away from any trouble. This really is a clear violation of eBay policy.

Looking at the other items in the "store" this is clearly a place you wouldn't want to do business with if you don't want to get cancer or have your house catch on fire. Nothing but Guangzhou knockoffs.

Not only can you get a fake RMR, you can get this gem...it even comes with 10 modes!

Trijicon, Vortex, Luepold, I expect the sale price is around 30% off from the regular price of Brownell, Opticsplanet. The sale price must be around the holiday or special even for couple days not every day. AND A FULLY REFUND POLICY.

When I find something online that by all logic is obviously fake, but that in my heart I desperately want to be real, I post a thread like this.

You can buy a lot of red dots on alibaba, heck even a acog. All copies not sure how well they will work or how long.

By way of analogy, you can be arrested and charged for possession of stolen property if you purchased something at a price so cheap that a reasonable person would be suspicious that a crime was afoot - even if you didn't "know" the property was stolen. The same standard applies here: if something is so cheap it can't possibly be genuine, guess what? It's not.

Which brings us to another problem: intellectual thieves often operating in concert with the People's Liberation Army have caught on by posting sales near enough to market value to not arouse suspicion. My recommendation? Never buy firearms products from anywhere except reputable national vendors of new-in-box equipment, or from sellers on Calguns, Arfcom, etc with high ratings and a long presence aside from the forum marketplace. No eBay. No Amazon.

As well, before you buy anything, compare pics to online information on spotting counterfeits. I hope this helps!

Yes.. I buy a lot of stuff on there actually. Just scored a super nice set of used 0"-6" Mitutoyo micrometers for $180 All I'm saying is although it's obviously a fake, it definitely violates eBay's counterfeit policy. A counterfeit report for this seller has been submitted. It'd be nice if eBay cleaned up and started enforcing policies, but I understand that is highly unlikely.

It's in their interest to not police..since it makes money. That listing has generated about 450$ for ebay.

A buddy bought a $20 knockoff RMR for the hell of it, lasted 2-3 range trips

It would not hold zero after only a couple mags
