Speaking for myself, in the last several months, I got swamped with work, which happens to pay the mortgage, and have been blessed with another grandson... While I am committed to the effort, there are other facets of life that have priority...

Many people have been generous with donations, but consider what it is like fighting with counties for the records. $100.00 gets ~ 20 minutes of an attorneys time (at a discount)... Counties like LA respond with "Sure you can have the records, please remit a check for $25,000.00” or whatever their crazy amount is...

It's a lot of work to go through thousands of pages, delete the unneeded crap and redact the balance.

There have been volunteers who have left the state; volunteers who after helping with one county have backed away, not realizing how much work is involved.

While I understand your frustration, I'm frustrated too... What sucks is having people criticize the volunteers’ effort, because we don’t work hard or fast enough….

I have contributed thousands of dollars, and many hundreds of hours to the effort…

Sometimes the critics just piss me off!

And other volunteers are still sitting idle, having signed up and been ignored. I refer specifically to ME, as I have retired since I contributed to this project financially.

I know stanislaus is not hard to get a CCW in, but the earliest I can get an appt. is end of Jan. beginning of Feb., this state is a mess, and needs work. I am just glad there are volunteers out there for the cause, your work is greatly appreciated.

It seems there is an issue with calgunsfoundation.org... I get a 404 error when attempting to access the Alameda county GC statements.

Also there is no longer a link to Alameda County in this sub-forum... Is it time to apply?

That said, the link for GC still produces 404 for Alameda.

Yes a number of counties produce the 404 error. I guess I should have saved that pdf when I viewed it the first time.

Ok I am also getting a 404 error when I attempt to access the Sacramento County Good Cause statement.

I have scrolled down but don't see how/where to view older threads. I am renewing my CCW and want to make sure I am using the right good cause. I don't recall what I used 2 years ago from this site.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am also absolutely astounded that there's even a possibility of getting an LTC/CCW in Marin. I had pretty much resigned myself to waiting for pending litigation before getting one. But if I can help speed the process up - sign me up!

I'm trying to review the known GC statements on calgunsfoundation.org and they're not there anymore! I have a renewal coming up very soon and would like to check the renewal statements first.

The files still exist and are archived. As the new Calguns Foundation website is completed more information will be restored....

Any idea when that will happen, I posted about 5 months ago that the links were down. I renewed mine with out a problem but I know those GC statements are very helpful for new applicants.
